Hope this helps:
  1. Yes-- all you need to play the download is QuickTime Player, or the VLC Media Player.
  2. The download time depends on your internet connection, but, according to reviews, on a high speed internet connection (Cable/DSL/FiOs), the download takes about one to two hours, as the filesize is just a bit over 900mb. However, download times will vary, based on your internet connection.
  3. The download includes the full Control main feature, the bonus effect "Stop," and all other instruction elements. The only thing that the DVD has that the download does not is a few extra minutes of outtakes, bonus interview footage, and possibly some easter eggs.
