D+M = Gambit

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Trailer. For those of you who don't know: Gambit can charge objects. His main choice of weapon, are playing cards. (I use to watch the cartoon when I was growing up) I wanna know if i'm alone in my insanity. Am I the only one that thinks with a little training d+m could have pulled this off? I mean, they kinda look alike right, in the movie atleast? If i'm crazy, tell me.

The clip of Gambit is only about ten seconds long and it starts at about 1:50 into it and ends about ten seconds after that.

Good call... We need to petition them to stop and re-film all the gambit scenes with d+M. He looks even scarier and they would have to use a lot less special effects because, heck, d=M could to half of that stuff in real life.

Right, let's bankroll the first live appearance of every X-man fanboys wet dream by having him played by a card worker with zero acting expirience and zero film set expirience.

Due to the kinetic energy that Gambit infuses his playing cards with, CGI would be the only way to go, as 5 minute takes of Gambit flourishing would be the equivilent of handing him 3 bean bags and telling him to juggle.

Jesus, someone is pissy.

I always thought Jesus was a turn the cheek kind of guy

Seriously, I'm not pissy at all. I'm just tired of the blind idol worship and decided to voice it. It is admittedly fun to pop sacred balloons, but at the same time don't take it so seriously.

D+M is a great card worker, talented and brilliant. I love his work and continue to purchase the material he puts out that appeals to me.

I'm also of the opinion - and I've said this before - that he can be a tad pretentious at times; Especially when continuing to post odd tidbits of 'poetry' relating to the Devil on his site that make absolutely no sense yet 'sound mysterious' do to that very fact.

Robert E. Howard flips in his grave everytime it happens. ;)

ANYHOW, back to the thread at hand, I'm sure Taylor will carry the roll of Gambit just fine, and the magician who the studio brought in as a consultant will equally carry over their knowledge to the screen for the enjoyment of all in the audience.

Although..........If I can indulge the original poster further, Gambit is a master of the staff as well, which is a weapon he infuses with kinetic energy, while spinning and throwing etc.

I hear that De'vo is quite the weapons specialist, and although I have never seen his face I would be curious to see what he would do with cards as weapons.

Now I'm just playing.

I can understand where you're coming from. The only reason I saw your post as 'pissy' is due to the fact that I felt everyone was joking around and then you come in with a throw down. I don't think really anyone takes this thread seriously, I for one don't.

lol This thread wasn't ment to be taken serious anyway. The thought just came from the resemblance of one picture of Gambit with the hat on. I mean jesus, I hope no one really messaged d+m trying to "persuade" him lol. I'm just hopin everyone's gettin a kick out of the idea is all.:D
