Difference between thumb and pressure fan?

whats the difference between a thumb fan and a pressure fan?
help pls.

In a pressure fan you bend the cards whilst you fan so that they spring off your fingers to get an even spread.
Thumb fan uses no pressure.

A pressure fan utilizes the same principle as the card sprin... almost.
The thumb fan is just a basic fan that you use the principle of ribbon spreading in a circular motion.

Pressure fans are usually more even.

Thumb fan - Uses the thumb to do the spreading, less pressure applied to cards, how even the fan looks is based on how smooth the cards are.

Pressure fan - Uses a grip similar to a spring. Pressure is applied to make the fan even.

Both fans ending position looks fundamentally the same with minor differences.
