It depends. Distortion has been gathering a little dust for me recently, but that's because I don't really like gimmicks. If I'm going out and I think 'Distortion would work well' I use it but not usually. But that's to do with my routine and where everything fits for me.
Think of it like this. If you think it has a place in your routine, ignoring all difficulties like getting the gimmick into play etc. then get it. You can work out the rest from there.
I wouldn't however get it for the sake of getting it. Don't make a routine around Distortion, do it the other way round.
Hope I made some sense there, I'm confusing myself slightly.
