Hey guys, at my local Dollar store they sell old casino cards with the cancel hole or a small clip in the corner but I was wondering if these would be good for practicing flourishes, magic etc. Anyone think this would be a good technique?

Well, I was wondering if using it would effect my skills when i went to use a regular deck in a good or bad way and also if any of you have tried.

Oh, sorry for my misunderstanding. Well, personally, I do not like to use the Dollar Store decks because it does not have a quality feel compared to Bicycle or Tally Ho. I would stick to the regular only if you need to practise your sleights and flourishing as well.

Go for it, dude. Especially since they cost a buck. I don't know about the clipped corners though..... that might interfere a lot with magic and flourishing, depending on how big the clip is. I say just buy some and see what happens.

Peace,
Austin

well actually this can help u adapt to cards...it won't affect u, it'll help you get use to any cards...i get a lot of 1.00 mavericks...but i aslo got my bikes as well...but whenever i'm filming on our local campus...i have aviators...as u can see they are all different types of cards...

Go for it, I know that at my dollar store I found some Aristocrats with cut corners and they have finish like a dream, so why not. The cut corners isn't that big of a deal, but can hinder in some places. I deffinately wouldn't use then for performance though
