This is an updated ~favorite effect thread~.
You know what to post... your favorite effect!
Please do not direct me to other threads because as I said, this thread is going to be the 'updated' version.

-Except, you have to name if its closeup, stand up, stage, street, coin, card etc~!

-What is your rating on hardness? 0 is the easiest and 10 is the hardest~! :p ( 7 / 10 )

-Name of the trick obviously, and if you can, its creator too.

Also if you want, you can post the effect.

This thread is to help Me, Others, and You for recommendations on tricks.

Please have fun ~! ~! ~! ~! ^_^

Brian.

5/10*
Triumph

Everyone is familiar with the Triumph effect.
Most of the time, I perform Dai Vernon's version, as it leaves stack unshuffled. For magicians, I do Tenkai's version. Tenkai's Triupmh is different from Dai Vernon as there is no false-shuffle. Deck is really shuffled.

*I'm pretty bad at rating difficulty, as I think you either can do it, or you cannot. If you are somewhere between, then you can't do it.

Man, this is tough. I love all the material I perform. I'll try to narrow it down though.

Right now (because it's my newest effect) it's Kolossal Killer by Kenton Knepper
2/10, Close-up

Overall though, I'd say it's Ring Thing by Garrett Thomas and Floating Ring by Yigal Mesika. I perform my ring routine more than other, and it always gets great reactions.
RT - 4/10, Close-Up
FR - 4/10, Close-Up

Also, Mr. Clean Coins Across my Jay Sankey. I perform this anytime I see someone holding three coins. Hard for me to rate because I've been doing it for so long and my hands play it like second nature now, but for someone first starting with the effect I'll say:
7/10, Close-up

And my favorite card effect of all time is definitely Torn and Restored Transpo by David Williamson.

I've got a few as well.

Stigmata
Wayne Houchin
Mentalism
3/10

Torn
Daniel Garcia
6/10

Witness (Do I really have to link you?)
Lee Asher
4/10

And a couple of my effects, including a sandwich that ends with a surprise transpo, and a ripping pips routine.

Not Mr Duffie's but it's by John Bannon in his latest but already OOP book; Dear Mr Fantasy. Purists card workers should take a look at this book, most of the materials are impromptu and are within reach for a beginner. One of the best book ever printed.

I have a lot of effects that I truly love, but I guess I'll just post two - the two I'm practicing at the minute.

Cards/Close up
Repro Retro by Bebel
7-8/10

Cards/Close up
White or Wheat by Danny Garcia
9-10/10 (having real trouble practicing it - it's very difficult)
