Ok, you're probably expecting this to be another "How do I approach people to do street magic" thread. It's not, sorry to disappoint you. :) The question here is this, when you're trying to get a gig with a new client, how do you get someone's attention and make them take you seriously via email? Do you send them a show reel? Resumé? Or do you even bother with email?

Well if you are performing in a restaurant then they should already have seen what you can do and good you. So the most you can is just either wait for them to call you. I know there are things like press material and whatnot, but I think that stuff is mainly for people who have already seen your work or hired you for a gig. Most people won't hire you unless they have already seen what you are capable of.
