How do you design your own playing cards?

What software would one use to design the back of a playing card? By the way, I'm not trying to do anything complicated, just something simple.

Photoshop or Illustrator. The benefit of illustrator is that it is vector based so scale isn't an issue. Photoshop however allows a little bit more flexibility with design and images.

What type of computer are you going to be using?

Inkscape love.

Inkscape is free for vector and GIMP is good for shading and such! That's what I use for graphic design such as potential DVD covers and web comics.
