Exactly what are lectures?

when a magician goes in front of a group of magicians, usually at a magic shop or for bigger ones in a convention room or stage or something of the sort
he will present some material of his, and than teach it all

A lecture is is a presentation intended to teach people about a particular subject.

Traditionally, magic lectures feature several tricks that are performed by a lecturer, which, subsequently, are explained to the presiding audience -- very hands-off, hence its name.

Lectures are also a GREAT chance to talk with the special guest(s) and ask them any questions you have. I am going to be attending a David Roth lecture very soon, it should be very fun!

Hmm, well I think that gives me a better kind of idea since I never been to one before. I just need that guy to reply for the lecture Lee posted about. He still hasn't contacted me and the lecture is fairly soon arrgh....
