The performer is Larry Wilmore is is well known in Hollywood circles as a writer and producer. He is also a super nice guy.

That was pretty funny. His hands were definitely shaking either from lack of experience or just nerves from being on TV. Either way he got through it and the boomerang card was pretty sweet.

I'd like to see you perform sleight of hand magic on live TV and not get nervous.

Touche. However, this guy is a professional, I am no where near that yet.
I dont want to start an argument, props to him for getting the gig and not messing up.

Even the most experienced professionals will still get bouts of shaky hands as well. Anybody who tells you otherwise, is either lying or was taking drugs at the time.

He was shaking for the fact that he was nervous about the sleights. He is a regular on the show (Jon's "Senior Black Corresspondent"). He is absolutely histerical and I am so glad to now know that he too performs!

I saw this episode and wanted to share it but you beat me to it!

Great find and all the best,

Larry is a professional comedian and writer. He is an amateur magician. He is very passionate about his art, and is very skillful.

Having said that, he is quite modest and not someone who I think performs magic regularly. I would guess, based on what I know and the time we spent together, that this was a stretch for him.

I for one am glad he did it.

I'm not bashing him, I was just stating he was shaking. He did a fine job and the audience loved it, nothing was really wrong with it
