Do a search on power metal. Get very comfortable after that.

To try and narrow the list on the genre a titch, here's a few of my favorite bands:

Dio
Rhapsody of Fire
Edguy
Wuthering Heights
Helloween
Iced Earth
Blind Guardian
Slough Feg
Bal-Sagoth (actually symphonic black metal and not power metal, but who cares?)
Cryonic Temple
Nocturnal Rites
Battlelore
Nightwish
Dragonforce
Galloglass
Human Fortress
Freedom Call
Kamelot
3 Inches of Blood

Out of curiosity, what sort of videos are you looking to shoot?

Well, yet another way to differentiate yourself would be to show something interesting.

For the most part, not only are these videos all the same music, they're all the same material presented in the same boring, lifeless, "Look what I can do!" manner. I would rather garrote myself with my own guitar strings that watch another one of those coma generators.

Isn't that the point of the mediasection? To show your skills and get feedback.
I think the problem is more that the spectators need to say more more than just "nice", "Very cool"...
Give me and other people feedback. Not?

Given how most people just stagnate and continue to do the same trite routines and presentations, I'd say it's more for vanity.

And the reason spectators only ever say, "Nice," is because the performer did absolutely nothing to get them involved emotionally. There's nothing exciting about being shown a generic card trick from an equally generic teenager or twenty-something.

If people want feedback, they should stop boring me into a state of torpor.
