Need help with Believe

thats the only advice you need, i got it yesterday so i need to practice a lot, but also i ready here a little while practice with both conners so you can do it twice with the cards instead of once
Yea of course I would practice, but it's better to practice knowing you're doing it right, instead of not knowing and practicing and doing it wrong. IMO Joel gone through pretty fast on the tearing and lay down part, but spent way to much time on the sleights, even though the former is far more important and unfamiliar with most magicians.
when i perform believe i sort of bend the corners with my thumb and finggers as i am going to put them on the table. so the corners just stay sitting there in there looking sort of like there is a valley in the middle and the stay together really well. hope this helps!
You're not really getting it eh? Do you even own the DVD/Download? All Joel said for the lay down was "move your fingers out of the way and it will stay together." That's it? Just once sentence for the lay down? Wow.
By fast I mean he's not giving much details and information, and not spending enough time on it. I didn't mean fast as in not doing it slow enough to follow.

Joel rips the corner toward himself which does work but, personally I think it is easier to rip with the piece going away from your self. In other words the corner ends up in your right hand. Try it both ways, and if that doesn't work, just rewatch the video and work on keeping a firm grip becuase that is essential to ripping the piece. Pm me if you have questions.
As said before bending it sleightly will help. When you are ripping the corner down the piece naturally bends becuase your thumb is curved. This will help with the setting of the piece for reasons that everyone who owns the DVD knows. Also, to place it you MIGHT try holding the edges of the piece. I do this sometimes, but once you get the hang it, you can do whatever you want with the piece. I hope this helps.
