Yeah I'm starting to do that now. Speaking of the spring I'm having trouble with control. Cards end up all over the place half way though the spring. I'm thinking it's the position of my thumb and how much pressure I'm putting on the cards.

I'd wager that the creasing would allow you to grab the card easier for 4-card productions much like Sub Rosa but the spectator would question why the aces or kings are so horribly warped.
