Red Hot Mamma with Guardians + C.A.A.N.

Two things I'm pitching out:

1. I really love the Guardian cards. I've been using them for a while now. Recently I decided to put an old favorite back into my repertoire, Red Hot Mamma, but I'm not sure how possible it is with the Guardians since they only come in one color--black--and changing the entire back design (i.e. a Guardian to a standard Bicycle red back) just doesn't seem to fit or feel right. Any suggestions? Is it possible to get red or blue tinted Guardians or is Red Hot Mamma just not something that's ever going to work well with the Guardians?

2. I'm looking for a good impromptu Card at Any Number. Right now I'm playing with Garcia's "C.A.A.N." from the DGP, and Bill Goldman's "One For The Money." I also played around with Paul Cummins' two C.A.A.N. effects from his FASDIU notes. Anybody know any other good impromptu C.A.A.N. effects they can recommend?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Do you own Royal Road?
If I can recall, there's a good card at any number in there.
I don't know how it compares to others though.

As to changing the colors on guardians, I'm not sure that's gonna happen. I would like it if they made the backs darker though.
So I would think red hot mama isn't going to be as effective because of the different styles of backs and different colored faces between a guardian deck and a bicycle deck.

True story.
It can be as easy as taking a black marker and going over the white borders to make it different.

I'm looking for something a little more natural.

The bleaching idea might work though; I'll have to give it a try.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

Barrie Richardson's (spelling) C.A.A.N is very good and is the version I use. Its quite popular among workers as there is no setup needed. The principle is very similar to Danial Garcia's, the sleights uses to achieve it are different.

The patter lines provided makes it an A.C.A.A.N version in the mind of the spectator as well.

Cheers,

I can only help with the first question here. Why not, instead of trying to do a Red Hot Mamma with Guardians, Use a guardian deck but for the changind card use a Centurion. the color won't change but the desing will and they are kind of similar.

Thanks. I just called up a friend who has Richardson's CAAN in some lecture notes. I'm picking it up tomorrow. Thanks again.

That's a pretty good idea. I don't own the Centurions yet, but I'll grab some on my next order and give your idea a try. Thanks for the reply, man. Very helpful.
