Routining for walk around magic.

So earlier today I was reading the Cafe and I noticed an odd thing from most of the guys there in the table hopping section. A lot of them suggested having like 9 different sets of routines for each table. This to me seemed a bit overkill and counter productive on the part that trying to remember all nine effects and perform each different set at a different table would be a pain in the butt to do, but also a strain on the performers memory . IE: you'd be stretching yourself a bit too thin.

I remember reading from Card College that Giobbi suggested only doing 3 effects (because it's easier to rehearse/remember). But the idea of doing 9 routines or acts for a strolling gig as always seemed like a major waste of time and overkill on the performer who's trying to learn them.
