Royal Road to Card Magic:Trick

So I recently got the Royal Road to Card Magic and I really love the book. I came across one trick that had me intrigued: the Piano Trick.
Only problem is, I have read the explaination over and over again and have no clue how to do it. Am I just not reading it right and missing someting?

Royal Road

I am currently studying Royal Road myself, but I haven't gotten to that trick yet, I am still on the Glimpse chapter.

Regardless I have found some of the language a little hard to follow, especially during explanations of patter and showmanship.

One thing I can suggesst is investing in R. Paul Wilson's Royal Road companion DVD's. These have really helped me understand the tricks and applications of those tricks and sleights 100%.

I really think you will enjoy these DVD's and the instruction is really top shelf. It's like a total of 5 DVD's and Mr. Wilson throws in is own little suggesstions and tips.

I usually read a section in the book first and make sure I have given it 100% effort then I will consult the DVD's.
