Wonder if you can use a regular tshirt or do u need a shirt with a pocket?

iam looking to buy this but if I need to wear some special clothes with pockets I done want it.

Whats require to use?

although I don't have it my friend does and technically you don't need a pocket if you dont mind clipping it to the neck of your shirt or likewise because it has to be located around chest level to work effectively

I've done it from a regular trouser pocket when I've been wearing a t-shirt so it is possible. It does work best when wearing a buttoned shirt or jacket though.
