Hey guys-

I'm a pretty much beginner flourisher, and I've been trying to get down the Hackysack from Vertigo Phase Two. However, it's giving me trouble. I've done this literally hundreds of times, and only completed it about fifteen.

I make sure I keep my foot flat, and follow through... everything they say, but is there anything else I could be doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. If you guys have any things that helped you, or that I should try, I would love to hear it!

Thanks!

Do you own a hacky sack? play around and practice the motion continously with that for help, also a way to help keep your foot more flat, is by pulling your toes in, then pushing them down. This pressure helps flatten the shoe a little more.

Nope, never messed around with a hackysack. I can get the cards to come straight up most of the time, they just fly everywhere before I can catch them. :p Also, I've been practicing without shoes- do you recommend putting them on and doing it that way? Thanks!

I prefer using shoes, mainly because I practice outside sometimes(its boring to just sit inside and flourish) There are some that will say barefoot is better, but really its up to you, whatever you prefer.

Awesome, I'll go try it with shoes and see if it's any different. Thanks!

trust me, shoes make it A LOT easier, flat trainers such as adidas stan smiths or even just skate shoes make it easier for 2 reasons...

1. The packet is less likely to stick your feet because of moisture
2. The packet is hitting a flat surface, generally feet are uneven and have curves in, so although you may be kicking it flat, its hitting seveal parts of your feet, disrupting the packet!

anyway, i can get this flourish normally around 99% of the time, and if you saw my battle video, with shoes you can try more extravagant kicking techniques with shoes! :D

hope it helped,

joe
