Which do you usually choose?

When it comes to choosing an online shop who fits more of the "mass quantity, warehouse" category, which of the following do you usually choose from?

Just a quick survey...

--> PenguinMagic

--> MjmMagic

--> MagicProShop

--> Other (Which?)

Thanks for posting. God bless.

I order from all of the following:
Penguin
Hanklee
MJM
Ellusionist
Theory11

It just depends who is running specials on things and what I am interested in.

A lot of the time I buy from my local brick and mortar shop in town.

I always check with Hocus Pocus first, since they are located here in Fresno and that saves me on shipping. Plus Paul Gross is a great guy, and they host a ton of lectures.

Otherwise I order from wherever has what I want for the best price.

Generally, I buy from MJM, they usually end up cheaper. Small items, I buy from the brick and mortar, but here they're generally pretty inflated, even taking into account shipping and currency conversion. But MJM have a pretty darn good range. I buy things from T11 and E if they have something specific I want, but that's pretty rare. Hank Lee often keeps items on their catalogue that they don't actually have in stock, which is annoying, I've found. The only one I can always go to is MJM, and their range is pretty darn big.

Prae,

Good point about Hanklee. I remember two times I ordered things and two weeks later they contacted me and said...Oops..we forgot that we no longer have that in stock.

This. It's not just annoying, but downright unprofessional. I mean, why have an online shop if you can't maintain the website and update your inventory regularly?

If you are buying from Hank Lee, email them first and make sure they have the item in stock before you pay them. The first and last time I ordered from them I had to pester them for two weeks to get a refund.

I almost always go to MJM. Mostly because they have a lot of variety. They have a lot of Ellusionist and Theory 11 items. I dont have a credit card and they accept paypal so that is another reason. They also have terrific customer service. Finally and most importantly, they are very cheap and shipping is usually free and if not free than very reasonably priced. Also with their lifetime 10% off coupon you recieve with your first order it really helps.

I always go to www.dennymagic.com. Denny's magic studio is run by Denny Haney himself, a world-touring magician who spent 30+ years entertaining people all over the world and has the experience and knowledge to recommend exactly what I always need whenever I have a question about something. He's more concerned with promoting and teaching new magicians than he is with making a quick buck, which is why there are numerous "junk" items he refuses to sell.

I shop around. I dont stick in one place. I generally dont order from the bigger places. I like to shop with the little guys and/or stay local and support my magic stores. Reason why is the smaller guys have all their items in stock and you can find hard to find items because nobody would think to look there.

2 of my favorites: Misdirections Magic shop and loomis Magic
Local: Fantasma and Tannens

For Playing Cards I'll go to either Costco or Shop at T11.

Penguin Magic has a 10 percent discount and Free Shipping on orders over 25 dollars and they usually stock everything I need.

Hocus Pocus is Great

T11 for their releases.

What is everyone's opinion on MagicTrickStore.com ???

I have shopped there for awhile and I enjoy the great prices, the selection, and free shipping. I am kind of excited to check out this MJM... I never really heard of it until now.
