Just watched the preview vid, and... holy crap. I actually want to buy this, and this is me we're talking about here.

Are there any downsides? I heard it's fairly easy, and it's one of the most visual things I've ever seen.

So what's your opinion of this effect?

It is soooooo easy, and soooo amazing!! I use it so much!!!

I cant really think of a downside, it'll take a little bit of practice to get the motions fluid but that's about it.

Like alot of effects turned now into video,it probably was released before in a book or magazine.
Dont know for a fact,just maybe

Thats how it sometime happens in D&D.com and T11. Spread pass was in a book..back palming obviously,all of jasons stuff,gypsy thread,almost everything on T11 I think..And hofzinzers aces on D&D.so yeah,alot of stuff.
