Odyssey ring storage

I have had the Odyssey trick for about 6 weeks or so, and I am becoming proficient with managing the trick.

However, I have found significant limitations using the plastic baggie as the storage solution for the gimmick ring. I need to have the gimmick on me at all times readily accessible, and right now, I just have it in a plastic baggie. In dress slacks, you can make out the shape of a ring in my pocket at times. I find that if I want to do the trick, I have to escape somewhere, bust open the bag, grab the gimmick, swap rings, then return to my audience. With such a limitation, I cannot perform it on the spot, and I have to prepare the gimmick even if I don't get the opportunity to do the trick. I was out to lunch the other day, and thought, "I could rock this trick right now...." but in order to do so, I had to figure out a way to get the gimmick out of the plastic baggie in my pocket, and...well....it never happened.

I have been looking for a solution, and I think I found one.

Here is a metal push button pop open pill container. It has a 2in diameter and is 5/8in wide. Its a touch larger than what I would want, but I think it should be much better than the baggie. With a container like this, I can begin to loosen my ring while I reach in my pocket, pop open the clasp, snag and put on the gimmick, leave the wearable ring in my pocket, and pull my hand out of my pocket with the gimmick ring on. It still seems like a little work, but I think its way more doable than the plastic baggie method.

I am going to order one, and let you know how it works.

Just following up to report on the item I recommended.

You have to use pliers to pull out the 3 slot insert. It has a double sided sticky pad on the bottom, and once you remove the insert, it takes a little bit of work to remove the sticky pad and residue from the bottom of the container. However, once you do, this pill container is perfect for storing the Odyssey gimmick. It is about the size of a pocket watch. I can just place it in my pocket, and be on my way for the day. Then, I can reach into my pocket, loosening the wearable ring as I do, push the button, open the container, swap for the gimmick, and my hand leaves my pocket with the gimmick on my finger, and I am ready to perform. Then, its easy enough to swap it back when you are done.

I highly recommend something like this if you want to have this trick on you, and ready to go at a moments notice. I probably wouldn't start the trick, then go for the gimmick, however, you can easily prep it in about 10 seconds, and then initiate your routine.

The Odyssey should come with a pocket container like this for immediate portability and implementation on the go.
