Hey everyone, I'm kinda curious, how many tricks do you think is enough for a good solid routine? I have a feeling that someone might of made a thread on this before, but for some reason I couldn't find it so I'm sorry if I'm bringing up an old subject. I don't mean to be annoying or anything...

That would be such a cool idea. I never thought of adding real money into it either but that would make things like a hundred times better cause of how much pressure you would have to perform under.

Are there magician's that ever have a poker night where anyone who comes is supposed to cheat? How effective is that at improving card skills? Does it even work or does it just fail cause everyone knows everyone is cheating?

Dude, I do the exact effect you just described all the time. It's awesome you should try it sometime if you haven't yet it gets some good reactions. Sometimes it's even fun to like combine it with a "you do as I do" type of effect.

alright sounds good thanks for the encouragement. I still think I'm going to take a break for awhile though so that I can just start afresh in a few weeks. Plus it'll let me focus on school.

Actually I was at a golf expo the other day performing some magic for someone who is a juggler and we got talking about something very similar to this. What it was, is that the spectators remember your personality and your showmanship more than they remember your skills as say sleight of hand...

In my opinion I would like to think of the trick as earned. I think it would be alright for you to use the trick as long as you give credit where credit is due and don't call the trick your own and as long as you don't reveal the trick to others.

one more quick question suppose i figured out how to cull... what would you recommend as the best way of practicing ex: like culling only a couple cards at a time and working your way up.
