USPCC has discontinued production of the plastic coated ones - which IMO were better as the stock was slightly thicker and it lasted longer & fanned better. The air cushion ones start out feeling really good, but clump together after about 2hs of practice. Anyway you can buy them online...

Exactly. I would say it's almost impossible to 'go pro' doing cardistry. With magic you can actually entertain for an hour quite easily. For flourishing, anything upwards of a minute is going to be a serious bore. Too much of the same thing over and over.

I believe that visual magic reigns supreme. The message I want to pass to my spectators is that his eyes are not as reliable as he thinks they are, and hopefully cause him to question the concept of perception. For me, extremely visual magic is the way to go. But I think it really depends...
