S.W Erdnase - Diagonal Palm Shift

The diagonal palm shift is supposed to be almost angle proof. I personally am still working on it, but I do know several magicians where I am that can execute this sleight flawlessly. The magician John Carney (who was one of Dai Vernon's students) has a DVD out on palming where he teaches...

Aaron Fisher's Gravity Half Pass Performance

I can't really tell if it was good or not, since I think the most difficult part of the move is the positioning of the left fingers so that they don't flash from the front. I can't see that in this video clip, but thats very important. Also the gravity half pass is covered by apparently...

IBM warns a Hong Kong magician against exposure

If you understand what he's saying, he's trying to imitate Penn and Teller's style. I personally don't feel it works. I watched several of his performances and I don't really feel any magic happening. Nobody seems amazed as well.

Hey check my business cards CM!

The branding reminds me too much of Daniel Madision. Might be a bad thing. Overall good composition. As others have pointed out, I suggest you remove the tendrils as they are a bit distracting.

    My New Trick

I'm not sure of your method, so I can't comment. However I can point you to a trick where the effect is used very, very well. Worth looking at if you haven't already. 'Box Spring' by Greg Wilson. 4 Aces penetrate the box one after another visually. I think its on the Card Stunts DVD...

    Aladdin 1001

USPCC has discontinued production of the plastic coated ones - which IMO were better as the stock was slightly thicker and it lasted longer & fanned better. The air cushion ones start out feeling really good, but clump together after about 2hs of practice. Anyway you can buy them online...

    Selective Respect

Props to you dude. Your attitude is extremely rare here. (I think we both can see that from the above posts)

    Bicycle Centurions - Released

    If you're writing in C, you're missing the semi-colons, and you spelt 'then' wrongly. Should be: void main{ int a = 0; string mood = "normal"; if (centurions.back == "black") { a=1; mood="mad"; } if (centurions.back == "blue") { a=2; mood="happy"; } if (a==2)...

    Twirl Change vs Shapeshifter Change

The twirl change is for my money, far, far better than the shapeshifter, although I use both regularly. I have never been caught with either, and I believe its because of a subtlety I use that was taught to me by a magician from Singapore. When you do the twirl, the change must be made...

    My Super Easy Triumph

Good luck with that. Its out of print (L&L publishing). And extremely rare. I got mine at an auction. Your best bet is eBay - but be prepared pay.

    Anyone knows this move/change?

It's in S.W Erdnase's 'Expert at the Card Table.' Pg 156. The color change has no name. It's listed under 2-handed transformations simply as 'method #3'. Altogether, he presents six methods. The 'Erdnase Change' is actually method #1.

    My Super Easy Triumph

    Nope. no half pass.

    My Super Easy Triumph

Vernon Chronicles, Volume 3, Pg 180. The trick is called 'Vis-a-vis' and is credited to Dr. Jacob Daley. The trick is an impromptu triumph effect which requires nothing more than a reversal. Its not a braue reversal, but the one in the trick description is so simple and so deviously clever -...

    Going pro... without magic

Exactly. I would say it's almost impossible to 'go pro' doing cardistry. With magic you can actually entertain for an hour quite easily. For flourishing, anything upwards of a minute is going to be a serious bore. Too much of the same thing over and over.

    Has this been done?

The effect is exactly the same as another marketed trick called 'Underground'.

Are Our Intellectual Properties Going To Survive?

Yes. If you start the game by suing the consumer, don't be surprised that they treat you like the enemy.

Are Our Intellectual Properties Going To Survive?

If I'm not wrong its about $5 per album. Yes. I know for a fact there were bootleg copies of tapes/etc during that time. -- I am a web designer and online marketing consultant in my day job. At night I turn into a magician. I am also a professional musician. So this topic is very close...

    Visuality of effects

I believe that visual magic reigns supreme. The message I want to pass to my spectators is that his eyes are not as reliable as he thinks they are, and hopefully cause him to question the concept of perception. For me, extremely visual magic is the way to go. But I think it really depends...
