    The Clipshift

I agree that it is about an 8 or a 9 in difficulty. I have reletively small hands but eventually I got the mechanics of the move down fine. The hardest part for me so far is making the move silent. However, once I can perform "%#$@ OFF" (a bonus trick) flawlessly $40 and a couple months of...

    Dive of Death tricks

Don't know about Blaine's trick but there is an interesting effect in Richard Kaufman's Book "Cardmagic" called Karate Card that you might like. You impale the signed card with your finger.

    Don't Perform for Strangers

I'll agree that breaking the ice is important however in some situations you might not have the luxury of chatting a whole lot before. How you approach people should be part of your routine and rehearsed just like you practice the tricks themselves. And it shouldn't take too long. Remeber... no...

    D'Lite too sensitive...

I had a similar problem. You can fix it yourself but you run the risk of messing it up further. Here is what i did and it seemed to work. First I tried slipping the tip of a pocket knife blade under the touch wire and bending it up away from the battery. If that doesn't work try placing...

Smoke & Mirrors - The Review

So i got my order of Smoke and Mirrors playing cards today. First of all I love the design of the box and the backs. They ballance modern and classic design very well. I particularly like the color scheme on the court cards. The King of clubs bares a striking resemblence to some twins I've seen...

    Is Fallen worth it?

Those people who are crapping on this effect because of the angles need to learn how to work thier spectators better. I like this effect alot and have gotten fantastic reactions from it. There are some angle issues but they are not that bad at all. Actually the best angle for the people to watch...

    Pivoting packets between fingers

I find that pressure and angle are the main details that you want to focus on. By pressure I mean the inward force your fingers are applying to pivot the packet between them. A lot of pressure works best for me (just enough before the cards start to bend). As far as angle goes I mean two things...

    How important are warm-ups?

I agree with hawk7. I mostly do finger exercises when i can't have a deck in my hands. I have noticed an improvement in my dexterity as a result. It is also good for the cartilage in your joints to warm them up. It may not have a noticeable effect now but your hands and joints will thank you in...

    Does the Creator Matter?

There definitely is something to be said for reputation and credibility. You can see it in the arts all the time especially with painting. I was walking through a museum and I came across a series of paintings by Picasso. Now I'm a big fan of Picasso's work (yes all of it) however the technical...

    Daniel Garcia "Next" Notes

"Next" notes have some great impromptu effects with random objects such as a book of matches or rubberbands. "Blueprints" contains card routines and one coin routine. Both sets of notes are well worth getting!! I love the way DG's mind works! Cheers!

theory11 should sell more magic accessories

Leave the accessories to penguin. They have great prices and the volume of stock necessary to cary such products. Also, those products are not specific to the effects that are sold here. There is less money to be made stocking and selling someone elses product than in-house merchandise. I'm not...

    Mac or PC?

Before you start calling people idiots you might want to learn how to spell. But you're right for video and music editing you can't really beat the programs that Macs have; although, you can get a comparable PC for a couple hundred bucks cheaper! Cheers!

Why are you using half dollars and silver dollars?

I use silvers not only for visibility but for the sound they make. They have a ring to them rather than just a dull clink. Also, half dollars are the perfect size for my hands. I can clasic palm a Kenney like it was made for my hand. Cheers!
