Tough Time for a Young Fellow Magician

Oh my.....bless him and his family. I wish them the best. I've donated even though I've been tight on money...I donated $8.88. I know that's not a lot and a strange amount, but the number 8 is somewhat of a homophone to the word, "prosper" in Chinese...and we believe that associating with the...

    Why Cardistry?

Well, you can ask the same question for all the jugglers, fire eaters, sword eaters, etc. out there. But for me, it's something to keep my mind off of things. It keeps me busy and I won't think about how tough college is and why I got an F in Physics last week. It also lets me express my...

    Tough Audience

I have a friend who seems to give absolute ZERO reaction whenever I perform. Is this the type of person you're talkin' about? She's not responsive not because she's SHOCKED with amazement. There are just some people who don't have that kind of...explosive reaction I guess. Whatever you do...

Does anyone ever feel they spend too much $ on magic?

Buying material, like what everyone else stated, is not always necessary. Unless you're buyin' accessories. i.e IT, thumb tips, double backers, etc. I'm going to quote the Virts on this: "It's not what you do. It's how you do it." Just know that even if you have a crapload of DVDs and/or...

I've lost the true value of performing.

Sometimes, I do have a weird tendancy to believe that my spectators are aware of the sleights that I use though... I know they don't, but I always have a fear that they'll be like, "oh you're doing a PASS!" or something like that... That is a major psychological demon that's been affecting me...

I've lost the true value of performing.

Ah...I'm somewhat relieved that this is just somewhat of a "phase..." And I will definitely follow you guys' advice. Thank you all very much! ;D

I've lost the true value of performing.

Hey guys. I am terribly sorry if there was already another post like this. I did use the search engine, but didn't really know what I could've look up. I'm almost 100% positive that ALL of us magicians have a similar goal/purpose/desire for their performance of magic: and that's to entertain...

My attempt on doing the polland fan

Is it just a one handed fan while sliding it on the table, or is the table actually involved?

    Flourish's That Time Has Forgotten

Lee Asher's Flo. Or was it Flow? Ehh. But it's a deck...spread/glide/catch thingy. It's pretty neat. I practiced it until I realized that my over sweaty hands prevents me from achieving such a feat. T_T

Hakuna Matata :: Control & Color Change

It seems pretty straight to me. Like every other sleight, the only way to get it to look unsuspecting, is to practice. Loved the song and sleight(s). Keep it up!

    Everyone Wants Us to Fail.

In my world, people want me to fail every single day. I am so glad this topic got brought up. It's not only my magic people want me to fail at, it's my everything. People at school hate it when I gain recognition, even my so called friends. My parents don't support me in what I love the most...

    Are you ready?

Yes, Cena's Thugganomics age was gold. The spinning U.S Championship belt was the shiznit as well. I'm definitely not diggin' the current spinning WWE title...unless they changed it since last time I watched. But yes, the WWE ruins great wrestlers. C. M Punk is not doing really bad there, but...
