    Easy, Powerful, Magician Fooler

I've heard this a few times, and I really like it. Laymen would come up with something we might not have thought of. A third party's perspective can really be enlightening. Jacob

    Card under box

Like, the card ends up under the box? You can do a simple palm, and while you spread the cards face up on the table, load it under the box. Kind of like card under glass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwMqELYTROA&feature=related

I agree with the redundant statement about "my show." Are you just a mentalist? Because that's all I got out of it, in like 3 different ways. You have an about me, and a home page, those should talk about what kind of magic you do. The "my show" part should describe the show. Are those the only...

I see your point, but how practical is it to do street magic (not busking) in a full suit? I wear my street clothes when I'm performing in the street, I dress a little nicer when I'm restaurant working, and I dress up even more when I'm doing a birthday party or other event. It kind of depends...

    The magician shopping

I buy clothes that I think look and feel good for me. Sure, I'll consider some things, like nice amount of pockets for a blazer or jacket, and I have a few pairs of cargo shorts, but I'd much rather wear slim fitting darkwash jeans and look presentable than look like an awkward middle schooler...

I like the little blurbs under the prices and time slots, it gives the client more of an idea of what they are getting. Maybe add a few testimonials? Rick Everhart told me that pics from events and testimonials from clients really help you get even more. Jacob

Dude, you HAVE to do some magic!

I think everyone's had that problem at some point haha. Doing restaurant work really helps with that, as it makes you remember about 5-10 effects. I always have cards and rubberbands on me, I'm getting into coin magic so that'll be going into my set hopefully soon.

Emory Williams - Magic Mobile on Wheels

Well dang, I didn't have that much last time around. But if he shows up soon, I might fall into that category as well haha.

    First Restaurant Job

Offer to do an hour and a half to two hours for free one night. Explain to the manager that if people respond well to it and you get good feedback, then the next day you can discuss payment and all that. I didn't have any restaurant experience before I went in for my gig, but I performed a lot...

Would you be interested in these?

The reversal looked fishy, with the deck going out of view, and the jerking motion. I guess that's all you can do to misdirect the camera though.

Gotcha, thanks for the help! And Beans, that's a great approach. I try to go that route as well, except the managers never ask to see what I do, probably because they aren't interested and just want me out. Oh well, their loss. Jacob

Emory Williams - Magic Mobile on Wheels

I met Emory about 2 years ago when he came to Franklim, TN. I bought Hypno Bill, Free Will, and a disappearing deck from him. Really nice guy, and very knowledgeable on magic. Also, if you ask him how something works, he's a very good salesman as well ;). I highly recommend at least attending...
