    Jack of all Trades

Understood. I also had my "magician eye lenses" on haha. No doubt to a laymen it would blow their minds. I really how the patter flowed well with the actions, and it wasn't just saying what you were doing. That in itself definitely helps with the misdirection, since they are focusing on what...

    Jack of all Trades

That was pretty slick. A few movements seemed a little "why did he do that when he could've just done this?" whats the word.... excessive? Besides that though it's a very nice effect, great job! Jacob

    Con-Artistry

Well, besides the first one, the rest wouldn't be considered "con artist" sleights. It wasn't terrible, but work on your double lifts, especially with the effect with the four aces, make them seem more natural. Overall, not a bad video, but the title and the content didn't match up. Jacob

    If An Octopus Could Palm..

Thanks for the heads up Casey, I appreciate it. In all honesty though, I think I'll be ok without it, the price isn't in my range, and the content isn't really for me. Best of luck to whoever tries to tackle it though! Jacob

    Double Facers/One Way Forcing

Could anyone point me in the direction of effects one can do with a Double Facer deck and/or a One Way Forcing deck? I bought these for an intended purpose, so it wasn't out of curiosity, but I would like to know what else I can do. Just something as a stepping stone is fine. Thanks! Jacob

    If An Octopus Could Palm..

What would you rank the difficulties of the palms in the book? Should someone have a pretty decent understanding of palming before getting this? Or could a fairly new person (to palming) jump right in? This is Dan and Dave we're talking about here haha. Jacob

    Brainstorming about a performance

Make it jumbo cards, and do Invisible deck. You can play out the patter to be a few minutes long, and build up lots of anticipation on the reveal. Jacob

    Prophet: The Entire Package

You can also get Hypnobill by Phantasmo. It uses only one bill, but the audience gets to touch it before and after it changes. Plus you can do it with a borrowed bill. http://www.williamsmagic.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=17105

It's interesting what you specs remember

I love that, when they reconstruct totally wrong haha. I did Carbon Paper(or Fiber, I can't remember) by Jay Sanky, and they guy was like "I held the card, I examined the whole card before he put it in my hand! There was no burn mark before!". Yes you did ;). It's so great because it makes you...

    Strong effects with borrowed objects?

Check out hypno bill, it doesn't initially use a borrowed bill, but it's easily modified to do so. http://www.williamsmagic.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=17105

    Michael Finney! SUPER FUNNY

Haha that was awesome. More on the "adult" side of humor, but very funny. Jacob

    Misdirection Lines

My favorite is just looking at them or talking to them. It's fairly simple. Scripting your tricks will help too, so that way you can talk while you're doing the sleight. In my "Joker's Wild" routine, after the second card is lost, I start talking about how the joker is a wild card. As I'm doing...

Are spongeballs like a deck of cards?

In that you can do just about 100 different things with them? I have a basic routine down, but I'm looking to expand my spongeball set. I've looked at "30 tips and tricks with spongeballs" but are the contents more than just disappearing and producing balls? Any help is appreciated, thanks! Jacob

    tips please?

Question: If you were performing this for a spectator, would you have music in the background and not talk at all? That's a big reason why I didn't like it so much. Here are some things I noticed: 1. It was a bit slow and some movements seemed awkward. So either practice getting it down better...

    Satisfied with your performance?

Although it's good to never believe you have attained "perfection" it might be unhealthy to always bash yourself after every performance. If you get really good reactions, you're doing something right. It's ok to walk away and be like "that went great!" Sure after reflecting you might find one...
