You're quite right. It is however very hard. It doesn't look exactly like this, but in my opinion is just as visual - I'm sure some would argue otherwise. I don't know how this method plays out, but from what I can gather, this method is VERY different from Chris Kenner's. - Sean

Yes it's possible and from what I remember reading it involves a gimmick that's available somewhere but I couldn't tell you where being as I don't know. Someone around here must know for sure - but from what I remember there's a little gimmick. - Sean

Shodan seems right, it does look like the "John Benzais Spin Cut". You can find it on "The Best of Benzais, p.39" or you can also find a different handling of it in "By Forces Unseen: The Innovative Card Magic of Earnest Earick - Stephen Minch, p.168". Hope that helps a little :) - Sean
