    Hand muck

I don't know what the "peek muck" is, but some good sources on hand mucking are George Joseph's book Hand Mucking, Tony Giorgio's DVD set The Ultimate Work and Dan Macmillan's book The Gambler's Palm Revisted.

    Center Deal

There are a few techniques you could use to achieve this (bridge, key card, or estimation), but standard table procedure would be for the dealer to carry the cut, so it's perfectly natural that you would do this yourself before dealing.

    Center Deal

You found the centre deal easier to master than the bottom deal? (Yes, "centre", I'm from the UK.) I would suggest that either you're some sort of unusual savant, or that isn't quite accurate, given that there are very few people in the world who can truly claim to have "mastered" a centre deal...

t11.bulletin : Essential Magic Conference - What You Need to Know

It is incredible value for money. The cherry on the icing on the cake is a month's access to Ask Alexander. I'm more excited about that than anything else. Now I can be even more of a know-it-all than I am already. Nice!

    Two grips to confrontation

To my mind, the difference is that a straddle grip gives more stability, and therefore makes it easier to get a clean take with no hangers, enabling a more certain strike bottom deal. A mechanics grip, however, looks more natural.

    Ahhh....sorry, I misunderstood.

    question on 2nd deal

Scott's deal is a strike second. Did you mean something different?

    No double for Lennart?

If you've got his Green Magic DVDs then he performs a double as part of his Windmill/Arc move.

    question on 2nd deal

There are two schools of thought on this. Walter Scott thought that the answer was to practice with decks in all conditions, with your hands in various levels of moistness so that you're ready on all occasions. Erdnase and Richard Turner both favour(ed) the use of lotion to keep your hands...

    Foundations: Help with bottom deal.

Erdnase had very soft and, probably, very small hands, and he said that, in his bottom deal, the deck had a tendency to slip out of position and had to be worked back into place. Therefore, it may be that the "Expert at the Card Table" would prefer soft, sensitive hands than to build up a...

It's Our Fault Criss Angel Is Famous

I've got a couple of points on this topic. Getting somewhere in entertainment is (approximately) 50% talent and 50% networking, i.e. who you know. People who come from poor families and still make it will, on their way up, have made it their business to meet and ingratiate themselves with...

    Derren Brown - Subway Amnesia

Just on a point of fact, this was filmed quite a while before 7 Deceptions was published, and before Luke was consulting on Derren's show.

    The so called orbinase change

The move that Roger Curzon does is Erdnase's "Sixth Method for the Two Hand Transformation", or "Transformations, Two Hands, Sixth Method", or however you want to notate it. Chris Brown clearly states that his technique derives from an Erdnase technique, which I imagine was this one. It's just...

    "Dark Light Deck"

I think that deck could make for some interesting flourish routines. In a rave where the cards were in motion, moving in and out of the blacklight, the faces of the cards would appear to shimmer and vanish and reappear. Nice! I want some!

    Photoshop for Magic Images

I doin't know how much experience you have editing photos, so sorry if I'm preaching to the converted, but to get the best result with Photoshop, remember that, as well as cropping and pasting, you're going to have to think about your shadow, and matching your lighting to the background.

    The 'World XMC Championships'

That's an interesting point, but I would suggest that cards in and of themselves are boring, and its up to the performer to make them interesting. Therefore I believe the focus should be the interaction between the performer and the cards. Otherwise it would seem to follow that the focus of a...

    One Handed False Deals

As far as easily-obtained resources go, there's a one hand bottom in Erdnase and Expert Card Technique has a few. In the world of DVDs, Richard Turner's The Cheat and Best of the Bottoms have a nice selection.

    Riffle Stacking

No. In fact, Erdnase pretty much dismisses the idea, saying the riffle shuffle is only of limited use in stacking cards. The best resources are Karl Fulves Riffle Shuffle manuscripts, if you can find them on eBay or direct from the man himself. Alternatively, Richard Turner's Science of...
