Personally, I just use a Classic Pass. All you need is a split second to pull off the sleight. Just connect eyes with the spectator, and there's your split second to discreetly Pass. Just an idea though, ultimately do what works for you the best.

That's happened to me more times than I can count. Most of the time it's people I know who say "that wasn't my card," so it's really easy to tell that they're lying. Showing it to other people around there is always good though, because that person is less likely to lie about their card if...

I usually stick with regular red or blue Bicycles. Other decks tend to raise unneeded suspicion, so I just stick with what looks familiar to the audience. Plus, Bikes aren't bad cards at all anyways.
