Can you keep a secret?
Well, I can't really see a way to solve this along the lines of what everyone else is thinking... YouTube petitions are never going to work. But I can see why magicians get mad at this: 10-year-old kids making easily accessible videos of themselves exposing/poorly...
Well, I've been thinking about it and I've almost thrown out the idea of burning it... I think it would be too much trouble to carry around matches or a lighter. (I don't smoke) And a good card vanish would be quicker, cleaner, and more visual. Just a matter of how to go about it...
One time I had I guy pick a card and keep it a secret, then lose it in the deck. I built up the moment, created suspense, and told him the card he was thinking of. I'll probably remember his reaction forever... "What? Dude, my mind just exploded!"
Hey guys,
I've been doing magic for about 2 years now, and all I've done is single tricks and maybe a short ACR consisting of about 3 or 4 moves. I'm ready to be at the point where I have a 5-10 minute routine that is mostly, if not all, cards. Here's what I've got so far:
Pre-routine:

That's strange. Don't you think they should note what kind of wax it is before selling it to you? I bought it from E and they say that its "Perfect to use with Invisible Thread in floating effects."
Check it out: http://www.ellusionist.com/order/michael-ammar-magicians-wax.htm?cat=75
Hey guys,
I bought some of Michael Ammar's Magic Wax a while ago and it's been in my closet for some time... (I haven't gotten around to performing effects that use it regularly) so I kept the lid on tight so it wouldn't dry out. Now I've finally started to work with some IT and thought...
Hey guys,
I've been checking out all the cool videos in the media section and I've got a question. What are the little cards in the lower right hand corner of the comments? Good +1 Discard -1? So after you're done rating the video you just watched, you can rate what other people said about...
Bare necessities (For leaving the house):
Bikes
Bare necessities (For leaving the house knowing there might be the sleightest possibility of meeting cute girls):
Bikes w/ a duplicate
Sharpie
Fraud (maybe)
That's all I can think of now...

Alright. Cool. Thanks guys. I didn't know there were such things as published flourishes... shows how much I know. I'd rather learn it the right way the first time than waste my time with YouTube videos. I think I'll watch the Tornado in the Trilogy and see if I can figure it out.
Thanks...
Hey guys,
I've been doing magic for about 2 years now and I'm just getting into cardistry/flurishing. After experiencing Dan&Dave's The Trilogy, I think it can be a VERY powerful way to present your magic. Anyway, does anyone know where I can learn the Tornado Cut by itself? I know it is...
Agreed.
Yeah, I Tivo'd that one... I have to admit, it was pretty rough around the edges. Especially when he did the whole Nicky Glass thing... Although he's at the top of his field, he's starting to lose my intrest and I think he's on the way down. This is why I like DB's stuff a WHOLE lot...
Sweet. My 1st editions will be a pretty cool collectors item, as they do clump a bit and produce a messy fan, BUT- sounds like the 2nd editions are the ones I've been waiting for.
Thanks T11,
-Matt
First off, congrats on getting up the nerve to actually go up to someone and show them some magic. It took me a long while to finally get the nerve to go up to a group of people I had never met before and ask them if they wanted to see any magic. BUT- the first time you get it right and get that...
