    Self Working A.C.A.A.N.

I can come up with A method... it might not be the exact method (but I suspect it is pretty close). It is not my effect, so I can't ethically tell you how to do it. It is Jason's effect and his to teach or not teach. Also, we don't reveal or expose methods on the forums.

    Self Working A.C.A.A.N.

It requires a special type of Sharpie to make it work. If you shuffle the cards the exact same way and pick the two cards just as he did, it works every time if you have the right kind of Sharpie.;) But seriously, Jason isn't being serious. You've been had.

Tricks for those with bad hands?

I'd recommend a book called Scarne on Card Tricks. The effects are great and they don't require any sleight of hand.

    Torn and restored Newspaper

You want to get Tear Down by Andrew Mayne which is a variation on Jim Steinmeyer's Incessant Newspaper. That is easily the best of the best.

how can this possible is there any way of passing solid through solid like this

That is just a mirror. What you see is possible without camera tricks. However, there most likely are three alterations done to the arcade game and a need for the selection of a spectator that meets certain criteria -- you just have to wait and watch for the right one to come along.

    Cardistry in Times of Trouble

"Making progress" is a funny thing. You can't make progress without failing. Repeatedly. To get good at something, you have to like to practice and it seems like you do like to practice. My recommendation is to keep practicing what you know, but to take a break every now and then to start to...

Can't Faro Shuffle for the life of me

There is a difference between doing a faro and a perfect faro. You can faro any type of cards. A perfect faro is more easily done based on the way cards are cut. A couple of tips to create the weave: 1) make sure the tops of the deck are slightly beveled; 2) move where you grip the cards...

    Meeting in the Middle!

The key to learning is asking a question. Teaching is telling people what you think they need to know. Learning is finding out the answer to what you want to know. A good teacher instills curiosity and makes you want to ask question and seek answers. Think about how that applies to you life...

[Ideas?] Transport and store safely playing cards.

Agree. If a full deck is in the box, it really shouldn't matter how it is stored. That said, all of my decks are vertical with their short sides down -- because that is the way they best fit into the boxes that I keep them in. Not to derail the thread... but I expect I've done worse.

    Rope Magic

The main thing is that the the outside of the rope and the core should be cotton. Other ropes have different cores and outer materials. The cotton makes it easier to cut when performing and the cotton core lets it drape (hang) down nicely. Also, you are less likely to get rope burn when...

One additional thought --- it is worth getting "magician's rope" from a magic shop. It is easier to work with than rope you get from a store.
