Make sure there are no typos or grammatical errors. I found one in the "Contact" page (repeat 'you are trying'). Found another in the "about" section (your routine is 'memorizing'). These types of errors make you seem less professional than you are.
I have to say, this doesn't bother me at all. If anyone has a negative view of magic/magicians, I try to change that. By making sure I am not a stereotype, I make sure that stereotypes aren't applied to me.
Yes, this can definitely be used to help get over nerves.
If you are nervous during performances, visualize yourself performing WITHOUT being nervous. Try and be as specific as you can, the more detail the better. Really FEEL yourself performing without being nervous.
How do you do a move correctly if you don't know what it looks like? (I know it's possible but just go with me here).
Truth is, if you can see what the sleight looks like in your mind, you have a better chance of DOING it right. Seeing the move in your mind's eye will help you perform the...
The study guide seems pretty good to me. However, at the end of the day, it's going to be the same as learning anything: you have to practice, practice more, and then keep practicing.
I think the structure of the outline is good. Working on the basics is important, especially once you move on...
I'm happy for the guy. Honestly, he is doing something to set himself apart from the stereotypical magician. How many of us can truly say that? I know I can't, although I'm working on that. It's nice to see someone different from the norm, even if his sleight-of-hand isn't perfect.
What I wear changes from situation to situation. In general I wear a button-down shirt with dress pants and a suit jacket. This can change depending on the venue or event.
I think Lance Burton is the best dressed magician.
I like the handling as well.
However, think about what motivates you to bring your hands together. I like the sleights themselves, but I felt as though you had no reason to bring your hands together before the the 2nd and 3rd coins go across. This tipped me that you were doing something sneaky...
I LOVE youtube.
However, most magic/flourishing on youtube is NOT posted by the original creator. Therefore, if you learn it, you are stealing material. Also, many tutorials are COMPLETELY WRONG, so you learn the wrong methods. It is best to buy the material from the original creator.
I don't...
You don't have to pick. I think Eric Jones is a great example of this. He is phenomenal with both cards and coins, and his shows involve both.
If someone held a gun to my head and I had to pick, I would pick cards because that is what I am most interested in. However, each spectator will have a...
You can check out this link to see the IBM rings around South Carlolina (mods delete if necessary).

It depends on the material I'm doing. If I am doing something using gaffs, I use standard bikes.
However, if my material is all sleight of hand, I like guardians, shadow masters and artifice.
Hey all,
I would like to learn how to fan cards well. You know, each card spread evenly, fan is large enough for everyone to see, etc. However, I haven't been able to find a good resource for this. Could anyone recommend something?
Thanks.
So it sounds like signing the card is not necessary. Reaching into the pocket to grab the sharpie is. In this case the process is more important than the result.
