When Are You a "Certified Magician"?

When you let go of everything and focus on giving your audience a sense of wonder, you are a magician.

    Help Us Stop Magic Piracy

Based on morality yes. But someone is not thrown in jail because murder is "immoral." They are thrown in jail because it is illegal. While morality is certainly the basis for law, morality it not law. Something immoral can be legal, and something illegal can be moral. Also, morality can come...

    Restaurant Magic

I have to say, if you're a server, you should probably concentrate on serving. At a minimum, get permission from your boss before you start performing on the job. The manager of the restaurant may not want a table that hasn't been helped looking across the room to see their server performing for...

    Parlor Show

I think the routine sounds great, but I also hesitate about using cards to portray a pick-pocket. Cards for a gambling routine or card sharp routine make sense, but I'm not sure about them for a pick-pocket routine. Other than that, it sounds great. Good luck!

Help with the Diagonal Palm Shift (EATCT)

From what I understand, the best description for the DPS is in Erdnase. I'm certain supplementing with other material will help, but Erdnase is the best. Bending the real - Jay Sankey

I get the feeling that Jay created the term "bend." I might be totally wrong, but it seems like a gimmicky thing he is trying to do. Now that being said, I have no doubt that the magic will be great. Jay always releases quality products (at least in my experience), and I am sure Bending the...

    USPCC Targeting Magicians?

I agree as well. I have noticed quite a few brand new decks come out of the box with a click bend. I think the quality has declined since the new owners took control of the USPCC. I'm not happy about it, but I still love my bicycle decks. They just aren't as good as they used to be.

Expert at the Card Table Intro

In the Dover edition, Gardner states that he believes Smith is the illustrator, not the author. Gardner acknowledges that Andrews did not have the writing skills to write the book, and asks who the editor of the manuscript was. He then goes on to make a case for the editor being William John...
