I'm sorry, but if that is your definition of a magician, you may want to rethink. That is the tip of the iceberg stuff, and in my book, deception is not the main goal of magic.

Rare Playing Cards( and question about the Red Madison Dealers)

Most decks stay relatively the same price, luxury decks (E, TXI, Kickstarter, etc.) go for $10, sometimes $15. Some super limited decks will go up in price if their will never be a reprint or a v2. Take the Rome Caesar and Augustus playing cards for example. They were $10 each, but they're...

Any ideas for a magic blog.

Essentials? Gimmicks, tricks, routines, slights, products, etc.

I have seen his stuff and have liked it, but he's not a magician. He doesn't claim to be a magician, he isn't claiming to do magic, he isn't trying to make people think he is. In fact, at the end of most of his loops, he sorta reveals how its done (eg. Gets off the wall when everyone thought...

    Slippery Cards

You don't have to necessarily let it clump up. If you break in a deck, it will get rid of some of the slipperiness, keep it ready at performance level, and stay usable much longer.

    Slippery Cards

They will become less slippery first, but only lose there finish after extensive use (which is when you should get a new one). So yes.

    Slippery Cards

You'll wear them in, and they will feel perfect :) I suggest breaking them in, They will get worn in faster and stay usable longer.

    Help reviewing magic blog!

I like it! I agree with most, to an extent. I do think #10 is something most magicians like to hear. It generally happens to me after a routine, or on a free moment when I'm not performing. I love to watch the trick, and don't try and mess it up. Infact, I think a major part of doing magic is...

If I PM you the item, could you tell me if it is to rare (for lack of a better word)? I'm fairly certain its not, but just to be safe...

    Best Deck Switch?

Hey guys! Recently, I've been super intrigued by deck switching tools. I have Shin Lim's Flash Deck Switch 2.0, and have not yet used it in a performance outside of my friends and family, but I find it works very well. I have come across many Deck Switch methods, and everyone thinks one...

Saturday Night Contest - Your Deck Trailer

Well, I didn't have time to make one, but I loved watching the submissions! Oh, and 010rusty, I have no Idea what that was. I am not even going to make a joke. I am not going to pretend to not have seen it. I am just going to click out my browser, and walk away.

    Conventions/Expos

Hey guys, I may have an opportunity to go to the Penguin Magic's Live Magic Expo in Philadelphia. If I do, this will be my first ever magic convention (or major gathering). I was just wondering a few things and would like to have some info. Please tell me about what these conventions are like...

Saturday Night Contest - Your Deck Trailer

Good luck! Btw, can we go full on KINGS and not show the deck at all, but make it convincing enough that they would "sell-out" overnight?

Who is the true expert at the card table?

DM is great too, especially since his work is near 100% gambling based. I agree w/ Reality. I would also like to throw Jason England in the mix.

New here & Classic Pass work Video

I too have smaller than average hands, but I work around using bridge sized cards. For the pass, I find it easier to use my pinky deep in the pack, and pinch it between my ring finger. I then use my middle finger next to my ring finger, and my index finger at the front, right corner. This gives...
