Because that's what clown noses look like when they have been kept in the freezer? It is just my favorite color and I can have some fun using red and blue sponge balls to combine to make purple.

As long as it is a live audince, that would be magic.

Awesome trick! How can i learn it?

There are many ways to accomplish this effect. As Josh said, we don't reveal magic methods on the forum. Get a copy of Royal Road to Card Magic and Encyclopedia of Card Tricks and read them. I can think of six ways to do this based on what is in those books.

    Ethics and Methods

I think camera tricks are not magic because the effect can't be replicated live. I guess that goes for a lot of the stuff posted on the internet where you have angle issues too. I have no problem with using a confederate (someone in the audience who helps you out but who isn't the spectator)...

Purple. Enough said. Let me know if you need any help on the color change. I have a good handling which is essentially a Bobo Switch for sponge balls.

Well, at least you have a Halloween costume. My style of dress is pretty much what you see in my picture - black sport coat, french blue button down shirt. Close-up is actually harder to perform for groups more than 10 people, unless you have a theatre designed for that (like at the Magic...

    Best Deck Switch?

I still love the Chazpro Deck Shell. Sometimes the classics are such because they have withstood the test of time.

    My effect, Phantom Frog

OK, so I almost stopped watching after a minute in because all you were doing was shuffling the cards. Unless the deck somehow ends up in new deck order, is there really any reason to shuffle that much? The move you do at :58 looks suspicious. The return of the packet to the deck at 1:38 also...

    My effect, Stone Cold Stunner

As I said in response to your other video, there is too much proving what you aren't doing. "All the cards are real and all are different" and "there are no breaks." Focusing on the things that aren't a method makes people focus on the fact that there is a method. The initial dealing of the...

Check Out my effect: Xenon Kings

First off, why is your focus on what you aren't doing with the props and having people examine the cards? Did you actually say that you would have the audience verify there are no double-faced cards? Who do you perform for that knows about double faced cards? The more you try to prove that...

    Approaching People

Start with Under/Over which is a free e-book from Vanishing, Inc. written by Joshua Jay. It is directed at younger magicians and their parents, but would be helpful to you. Rick's advice is really good. If you are doing the "walk-up" performance, start off with just talking to the people...

Who is the true expert at the card table?

I'm not going to go with Val Andrews.

Who is the true expert at the card table?

Interesting theory. I've always thought it was one person -- either a magician who wants to gain credibility as portraying himself as a card cheat (which is the more likely scenario becasue many of the card cheating slights wouldn't work in a game) or a card cheat who added magic tricks to make...

SETUP Hold the Porper Clip in your left hand with the open end facing toward your right hand. The tip of your thumb should be placed on top of the clip in the middle of the upper half of the clip. The tip of your index finger should be placed on the bottom of the clip in the middle of the upper...

    Selling my Trick..

    1. It is very difficult to protect a magic trick. 2. Under contract law, you can include any conditions you would like in a contract as long as the other party knowingly consents. Such language would not normally be a condition of sale, so you would really need proof that they consented -...

    Impromptu mentalism.

    1. Magic and mentalism are different disciplines although you can do mental magic which is magic "tricks" with a psychological presentation. 2. I usually don't think it is a goood idea to do tricks on command, unless you are a trained dog or seal. 3. In both magic and mentalism, most...

    Demonic magicians?

@Antonio Diavolo, I had never heard of Xendrius before your post. I suspect if you ask 100 people on the street, you might get one person. Out of the people who subscribe to his website, I would guess the majority watch him for the entertainment value rather than in agreement with his beliefs...
