I thought you were one of the few who made helpful posts? Try a Faro Shuffle or Side shuffle a few times, or try leaving it alone for a few days/weeks and it should get better.

Pretty much what everyone else has said, but one thing that is for sure, is that once you get good at it, you can do real miracles. last night for instance, Using misdirection, and trying to "find a card behind my back without looking" I managed to do a card in metal chap stick container...
