    Simple Card Trick

Then why didn't you talk us through it? :) I may be the only one who actually doesn't like the way you did those sleights. Your pass needs a lot of work, it is fast (sort of), but it's highly visible. You use a lot of space to do the pass. Packets should transpose in the least possible space...

    Revelation

I did a little research (which I am really bad in), and found that to learn original methond (book + audio CD) form the "correct" place, costs $160. Little expensive huh. And to learn it from hack is only $20. Now I'm not saying that it is good to support the hack, but I would rather learn it...

    Dress Code Presentation

How about you buy a completely white shirt, two of them, and think of them as two blank face playing cards. And any effect involving a color change, you can now do. Just draw or write whatever you want on the shirts, and off you go.

What tricks do you guys normally do at a party?

I would say, if they are way to drunk, don't let them handle anything. Just let them watch. I was performing at a party, and there were all levels of drunkness in the room. And I wanted to do magic for everybody, etc. And there was this really drunk guy, who was reacting really well to...

    Further Than That - Performance

This should be in the Card Magic forum, not here. When you are doing overhand shuffle, it would be much better to injog the card (card protruding from the deck towards you), than to outjog the card (card protruding from the deck towards the audience), because audience can see what is going on...

FIVE New Releases - The Holiday Contest 2010!

Yes, Hole thing looks amazing, I will definitely get it. Hopefully gimmick is not to hard to make. I guess you don't get scratch cards if you download something? I have to say that this is HUMONGUS contest, and kudos on that. I just think it is not fair in a way :) Let's say that for $50...

What is the best card trick you have invented?

I call it "Invisible Deck". Basically, spectator mearly thinks of a card, and when you take the cards out of the box, they are all face up, except for one, their thought of card!!! But the one I am really proud of doesn't have a name. 3 spectators each take a card out, and one by one returns...

    Bikes Meet Sentinels: Sentikes

They look standard to me. They remind me of one back design from Piatnik cards. They dont have dragons or angels or pyramids or bombs on the back, just a nice design. People are aware that there are other cards besides bicycles you know?

    Bikes Meet Sentinels: Sentikes

Oh, well then, I'm convinced. Care to elaborate? I thought this thread was about making cards that has great feel and durability (like Sentinels), but that wont arouse suspicion, right? Well Lee Asher's Fournier 605's have a great feel, and wont arouse suspicion. Makes sense?

    Bikes Meet Sentinels: Sentikes

Lay people are not familiar with decks of cards as much as you think. Not every layman knows bicycle cards, they are not that important to them. If you ask me, Lee Asher's cards has more common back than bicycle has.

Try Lee Asher's 605's. They look like normal deck of cards, but handle great.

    Lee Asher - YO

Just make sure that it's a new deck of cards, where the cards are still slippery. And also make sure to practice it above your bed, otherwise you are going to chase cards all over the place.

What do you think is the most hard hitting effect?

I don't think you know what a word hypocrit means. And I don't think that Eric Jones is just a trickster, or refers to himself as one, because what he does, and the way he does it, actually IS real magic. And you just prover my point of you guys wanting to go down the easy path. And I don't...

What do you think is the most hard hitting effect?

True. If we want to amuze, we can go with a lot easier path, like telling a joke or a story. Even juggling and ventriloquism. If we want to do magic and astonish, we must amaze. Why do I always see people taking the easy road?
