    Where to stab the doll?

If I really hated someone, it would be genitalia. However, for mainstream purposes I would suggest that heart and head, as mentioned above, are the most popular in that order. :P

    Dice chop cup

Don't be fooled, Brad. The dp of the poster above, that is the picture of a chop cup master.

Hey, I've had a look myself but no real luck either. Penguin does sell blank matchbooks, but last I checked they were out of stock. If it still is out of stock, at the very least maybe one of the Penguin staff there could help you out. Other than that I haven't really much clue. Sorry I...

    Regarding new cards

I don't think most of these guys have understood exactly what your problem is. Yes, it's quite normal for a new deck to have bends in them for many reasons - humidity, sweaty hands, etc - but often for no reason at all. The solution to this is something called breaking in the deck - basically...

    Sensitivity

There's an interesting essay penned by Richard Osterlind on this subject which I won't quote but will simply refer to for those interested, in his book Mystique. Suffice to say that I try to keep it in mind whenever I perform at all. He speaks of a zen-like form of action.

    Cardini Change? Ego Change?

Yes, and...? This thread simply tells you exactly what the differences are when you execute it. If you don't care, then simply ignore this thread, I don't understand. This thread is for people who are interested or curious in the details of the move.

    Without Performing?

You can definitely make money as a consultant - just like a guy who graduates from university with a major in accounting can then go on to do tax consulting.

    Product Advice needed

I've posted my opinions on the clipshift before, but I'll explain them in brief. The clipshift is a jack of all trades move. The key point being, that it's a master of none. Except perhaps a colour change. Admittedly, it's a cool colour change. Sure, you can use the clipshift to palm a card...

Anything but Surfaced. Unless you really really really like colour changes and they are the reason you live life.

The Selling of S.W. Erdnase Expert at Card Table

It's always nice to have a hardcopy. I'd buy whatever's cheapest. A few days won't kill. It's never too early to start reading Erdnase, even if it's not the most beginner friendly book, though.

    Cardini Change? Ego Change?

I had thought of that, but unfortunately I don't own Avenue, otherwise I would've. Anyone who does is welcome to add it, though.

Maybe the stupidest question ... ?

Read Darwin Ortiz's Strong Magic to understand why that logic is faulty. Magic isn't real, but it can still defeat that intellectual knowledge with emotional appeal.

Expert Coin Magic Made Easy - David Roth. It's not too expensive from Penguin, and don't let the name fool you.

    The Morals of "Figuring Out"

I think we're making two entirely different points here visualartist. I'm simply pointing that a revolution already exists, not necessarily the one Ian is hinting at, but simply that it already exists. The truth is, if the magic world were more "underground" (whatever that means), then by...

    The Morals of "Figuring Out"

A revolution is always taking place in the minds of the greatest magicians - they just don't waste time talking about it. You see this in the masters of the current day, guys like Carney, Ascanio, Tamariz, Ortiz, Lorayne, Mead, Jay, Cassidy. You saw it in the old masters like Vernon, Marlo...

    Hardest card trick...

Mnemonicosis is a nice trick, as is Vernon's original. The only issue I have with it is asking the spec to cut about a quarter of the way down. Why? It seems a bit silly to direct exactly where to cut the deck, even like that, but maybe that's just me. Although, I would still recommend...

    Best "mistake" trick

A request: PLEASE make the mistake believable. "Oh? It's not your card? Oh, shucks. Whatever am I going to do. I'm completely screwed." will get three paragraphs of verbal abuse from yours truly.
