    A.C.A.A.N by Stuart Cassels

That's the thing Prae I cannot really present the effect for the life of me. It just not really fit my character, and every time I present it it comes off a little tricky.

What do you think of my Christmas order?

If you really want to make your magic stronger you should work on your performance more, rather than the effects you perform. A few examples; I personally close almost all my shows with a blindfold routine, nothing too special in methodology. I can see and that is all there is to it...

    A.C.A.A.N by Stuart Cassels

Yes it is in largo. The impromptu handling is down right nasty and his chair test is great too. Actually everything in that book is Great

And yes the effect looks the same however you need to have some serious spectator managment aswell.

    A.C.A.A.N by Stuart Cassels

I have a few different methods for ACAAN/CAAN effects however a nice one that I am very very fond of is Patrick Redfords one. The impromptu one as the spectator can deal the cards and there is only one real move.

    A.C.A.A.N by Stuart Cassels

This version is quite nice however there is a hell of a lot going on behind the scenes that you do not see, making it not as performable as it appears to be. Dont get me wrong it is still an amazing method but you have to be prepared to perform it, and it is more elaborate than a stacked deck...

    Thoughts on an idea

I get what you are saying and it seems like a nice way to break up the move.

    Thoughts on move monkeys

I am a little on the fence about this I love practicing moves and learning new ones. But I heavily practice only a few because everything I perform I want to look as perfect as possible.

How much do you offer for gigs?

It is so true I have only ever seen two here in Canberra. One was obnoxious and I wanted to punch in the face (I would have been 7 or 8 and really liked magic.) The other was a few weeks ago I was out at dinner and he came up to the table and did a few things, he was not bad but he was old...

    Opener For Mentalist

One in the Hand is brilliant. The idea came from a Derren Brown effect. So yes the ideas can be applied to other effects. I love it and I always have it set up in my wallet.

    Vanity by Dee Christopher

It is not gimmicked however you do need something to make it work. It is worth the money however I would never perform it as it is not really my thing. The biggest draw back in your eyes will be that it is not really repeatable.

How much do you offer for gigs?

Still comes down to a lot of other things. How many people will be there? Age of the people? What is the event for? What is the policy on business cards? What effects are you planning to do? and most importantly why should they hire you? Both as hiring a magician in general and what...

How much do you offer for gigs?

It really depends on what the sort of show they want, how many people how long and 100's of other variables. I have a nightclub show coming up in a few weeks that I get 100% of the door fee. Whilst this is usually a lot lower or a set dollar value it is a favour for one of my friends (he is...

Thanks for the love Dee. On an aside note; Have you added my (fe)male idea that I gave you to your silhouette routine?

One thing I add to OITH is the Ian Rowland line that you use a lot Dee. ''Its not a 2p coin is it?' just a way to eliminate another coin.

Help from Mentalists and others that apply.

Your best bet is to just do it to someone like your mum or a close friend a few times.

The part I am assuming you are having trouble; Separate red and black cards take one so you know the colour leaving it aside. Then a few good riffle shuffles and you are good.

    Opener For Mentalist

Swami is a great opener and a lot of mentalist use it. Personally my opener is either One in the Hand by Paul Brook or a series of which hand games.
