I see your point, but the initial display is something I've never seen, and the circle shape can be easily replaced. Hundreds of flourishes start with the Z-Grip and are considered "original."

I've been in cardistry for about a year now and have come up with some stuff of my own. I'm thinking about making a tutorial for the move demonstrated in the video below. Would anyone be interested? Also, what are your preferences in teaching? Verbal, nonverbal, with music, etc...

Split the deck in halves, reverse one, faro shuffle, and leave them in a cool place. Sometimes the freezer/fridge works but it's a sketchy method. Porper clip is best, naturally.

Most tables are made of wood or metal and are therefore slick. This is a problem, as it requires almost bending cards to pick them up, and spreads are almost impossible. With the friction a close-up mat provides, cards can be easily picked up, spread, and moved around, making for an easier time...
