    theory11's Touch of Modern

Ran across this and thought I'd share. This site features sales on innovative, modern designs that are sleek and functional. T11's Artisans are featured on the homepage, and the Monarchs are featured as well. Good stuff! https://www.touchofmodern.com/sales Ian

    Magic gets the ladies

In all fairness, you posted on here on your own volition, knowing full well that the response may not have been completely positive. If you were hoping for that, sorry. I gave my opinion, as you asked. Asking for our opinions and then immediately disregarding them is not the way to go.

    Magic gets the ladies

I agree with Steerpike and Craig. Let me digress for a moment: Magic as an art requires dignity. We all fall prey to showing our parents our latest double lift and then going around school to show everyone a sloppy version of Triumph. This strips magic of its dignity. It has the same effect as...

    Interested in a tutorial?

I love your flourishes, Patrick, but you draw heavily from other cardists too. Cardistry is elemental by nature. This is simply an arrangement of moves that's fun to do, and I thought others would as well. I've got some other flourishes in store that will shut up the naysayers. (In good nature...

    Interested in a tutorial?

I see your point, but the initial display is something I've never seen, and the circle shape can be easily replaced. Hundreds of flourishes start with the Z-Grip and are considered "original."

    Interested in a tutorial?

I've been in cardistry for about a year now and have come up with some stuff of my own. I'm thinking about making a tutorial for the move demonstrated in the video below. Would anyone be interested? Also, what are your preferences in teaching? Verbal, nonverbal, with music, etc...

    Fixing warped cards

Split the deck in halves, reverse one, faro shuffle, and leave them in a cool place. Sometimes the freezer/fridge works but it's a sketchy method. Porper clip is best, naturally.

Saturday Night Contest - Dimitri Arleri Roundtable

    1. Have you ever considered doing magic? 2. You're considered one of the most innovative flourishers in the community. Who do YOU think is the most innovative flourisher in the community? 3. Since so many people are flourishing now, do you think it is contributing to or detracting from the art?

Monument by Dimitri Arleri (Full Review)

Patrick, Excellent review. Are you planning to do one of your catchy (pun intended) flourishing videos with some of these moves in it? I, for one, would love to see that.

Please help me improve my Classic Pass

I personally do the pass on an off beat, when I ask a spectator a question, etc. An invisible pass is a great thing, but calling no attention to the cards, using covering actions, or misdirecting works 99% of the time. A truly invisible pass will only impress magicians and hecklers, the two...

    Close up mats

Most tables are made of wood or metal and are therefore slick. This is a problem, as it requires almost bending cards to pick them up, and spreads are almost impossible. With the friction a close-up mat provides, cards can be easily picked up, spread, and moved around, making for an easier time...

    Google Hangout Overview

I don't mean to rip on you, but this is the third thread you've started about the same topic. Confining related posts to one thread allows for not only a cleaner forum but ease of searching for someone who wants to find all of this information. This is definitely more of a reply. P.S. I'll try...
