    Problem

This. Personally, I prefer to just save myself the time and use an editing program to dump and put together the footage then export it to MPEG.

    Problem

Irrelevant nothing. File extension makes a difference in the size of the file like I just said. Some are much larger than others because they preserve more data. A slight downgrade in quality is the trade-off for manageable disc space. It's the same reason that people who construct websites...

    Problem

Save it in MPEG format instead. It's much more efficient. The file extension you choose has a dramatic effect on the size of the file.

Can mentalism be combined with magic?

It's good for you in that it's rich in minerals, which are good for keeping the body strong. You can get the same effect from eating a salad. Herbal remedies are largely placebos. Keep in mind that faith healers can sometimes stumble on a success by accident and people will attribute it to...

June 2009 :: How deep should the rabbit hole go?

Actually, more than a few skeptics have hired me to do haunted magick because they like to be scared. Same with Rick. Rick performed seances almost exclusively for the skeptic market. It all comes down to knowing what your audience wants.

    Problem

That was a serious question. What's the file extension?

    Problem

What format are you saving it in that the file is that god damn huge?

June 2009 :: How deep should the rabbit hole go?

Alright. How do you explain the shut-eye market? Indulge me.

Can mentalism be combined with magic?

Some genuinely believe what they're doing. Which I find to be pretty dangerous. If they're charging you for it, like that slime televangelist did to my relatives, or like Sylvia Browne does for (ironically) ungodly prices, then you can bet it's a scam.

How to carry magic for restaurants...

Well, having been working with leather for so long, you probably know that they're not charging for the raw materials alone. If we only charged for the raw materials, DVDs would cost about 4 bucks apiece.

Do you label yourself a magician?

Inside jokes are great, but consider the outsider looking in before you write them into a performance. I have a screenplay or four with inside jokes, but they're not played for laughs overtly. I just quietly slip them in there so that they look like a natural part of the process and those in...

    What if...

If he is then it would be very rude not to share. Honestly, I'm trying to refrain from being particularly judgmental, which if you know me is very uncharacteristic. The reason being that my own scribbles and self-indulgent writing projects are numerous and not the sort of thing I want the...

Do you label yourself a magician?

Oh I get that. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm a sarcastic wanker and that I find blood funny. But my experience is that it's better to ease people into it. You're response is less funny, more jarring. I typically prefer to start with a mildly sarcastic remark to ease them into it and...

    What if...

I'm not quite sure how to feel about this. On the one hand, it seems fanboyish, but then again lots of people base literary characters on people they know or historical figures. Anthro art has a bad reputation and is often done badly, but I'd be lying through my ****ing teeth if I said I...

Can mentalism be combined with magic?

There are people who believe that Derren Brown is a genuine psychic. But that doesn't mean it was his goal, especially considering Derren has never made earnest claims to the paranormal and instead dresses up his entire act in the most convoluted pseudo-science imaginable as a red herring for...
