    SuperSharpie

Yes...I have both. I have a Super Sharpie that does pen through anything that looks identical to that and I also have the Cobra Sharpie 2.0 that looks indentical to that. Both are outstanding and well worth the investment.

    Simple Magic = Powerful Reaction

I loved every second of it Patrick. This is what magic is all about. Simple, hard hitting, magic that everyone can follow and understand. Nicely done and thanks for sharing.

    Penguin Magic s0000prise

I'm just messing with you guys. I thought I'd wait awhile until I reposted.

    Penguin Magic s0000prise

That's great but in my order they placed a gift card for $100 in free products when I order again.

    Walking Liberties

A mini van is stealthy to most police officers. Think about it. How many times have you seen a mini van pulled over for a DUI or speeding ticket? Hmmmm....not many. Just thought that was funny so I threw that out there.

    Tricks with a kicker ending

Twisted Sisters by John Bannon has a nice kicker when the audience doesn't think it gets any better than the transposition....duh duh duh...you hit them with, "It was a great thing that you two selected those two queens, because everything else is just a joker" KA POW The looks on their faces...

    Kyoto Deck

I'm going to throw my two cents in here. I probably own about 50-75 different props / effects, but do you think I know how to perform them all to the best of my ability? Nope. I don't have enough time in the day nor do I perform enough paid gigs to use them repeatedly to get them down. Any...

    Awesome Calendar Card Trick

I believe there is a calendar effect out called Validate that was pretty popular two years ago.

    Awkward endings

After hitting them hard with your closer....I normally thank them for allowing me to share some magic with them. At that point, I normally pull out a few of my business cards and hand them out saying that I am available and please check out my website. If it is just for your friends or...

    Card College Light, Lighter, Lightest

Great books in which most of the effects are strung together so that each goes from one to the next and you should be fairly set up.

    My first ever public performance

Loved watching the live performance. I'm glad your camera man filmed a lot of the spectators faces and reactions. Too many times we focus the camera right on the magicians hands and miss out on all of the shocked reactions and expressions. Nice performance for your first time. Now get out there...

Creating a small show, need some advice

I'm just going to be flat out honest here and say that if you have 300-600 people coming (regardless of if you are the headliner or not)...that is definitely considered a stage show and most of what you have listed will not even be seen or "viewable" to people sitting out in the cheap seats...

    Svengali Decks...

If you find that you like the Svengali deck you may eventually want to move on to or try what they call a "Mirage" deck. It is a Svengali deck that also has rough / smooth finish to allow you to spread the cards from hand to hand very freely without a spectator seeing a thing. It is a strong...

    Your best impromptu trick

Sloppy Triumph destroys people. I use it almost everyday whether at a paid performance or an impromptu.

    Performing: Under Pressure

I personally make up my own. Sometimes I will talk as if I am in third person and describing an effect that I saw as a young child when I was watching a magician. For example: "As a child my parents used to travel a great deal and many times we would be in big cities. One afternoon as my family...

    Best Lecture Notes

Michael Close's WORKERS Volumes 1-5 Antony Gerard - Behind Bars has some strong effects and a ton of info on the classic pass.

    Performing: Under Pressure

I used to practice all of the time and had the same shaking and sweaty hands every time it was time to perform for a live audience. Eventually I cut way back on the individual practice at home and just kept performing for people over and over and over until the fear was gone and actually became...

    A Rant on Magic Clubs

Michael, in your defense for those of us in clubs I do see some of the humor in it because most of what you wrote was true. Thanks for the read by no means was I offended.

Best Chemical for the Invisible Deck

Craig is also correct in that "some" hair sprays will work pretty darn good...almost as good as the Testor's Dull Cote when applied correctly. Just "mist" it over the cards from about a foot away and allow it to dry properly. Rather than try many different hair sprays...just buy the Testor's...

    A Rant on Magic Clubs

I will say joining my local magic club 3 years ago was the best move I made in magic. I have grown tons both professionally and as a person. Yes there is time for fun and games but there is also a business meeting that is to be properly ran with old business, new business, treasurer reports...
