Groove Electric Switch By Doc Docherty

Would it be possible to use this move as a force? You fan the cards, they tap one and you upjog it, switch it and hand it to them? Because this would cancel out the discrepancy of having to put the card back in the deck only to take it out, and would make a nice force if possible.

Why I don't perform card to wallet anymore.

One way you could aid the 'misremembering' process would be to place the card in the wallet. You then perform a card to (your) pocket, emphasizing each time how the pocket was empty beforehand. Then, when you end it with card to spectator's wallet, the seeds of the idea that the place the card...

    Derren Brown: The Events

Actually, doing this would not affect anyone's chances of winning. Because people are just as likely to choose these numbers as they are to choose any numbers. Think of it not in terms of 'the chances of the balls being the numbers I chose' but 'the chances of me choosing the numbers that come...

    Sleight or simple?

I believe in using trick decks and gimmicks, as long as you're a good enough performer to make them seem innocent. However I often don't, due to pocket space. But still, with a trick deck, you can often accomplish incredible effects, and it gives you more leeway to work on your presentation. It...

What Would Others Say About You?

Toby posted twice in the same thread so as to boost his post count and trick himself into believing people actually like him. Read the above as 'Toby makes a positive contribution to the forums, without bashing, spamming, or generally being a troll. And he has a nicer one handed fan than me '

    Axion - Card trick

I liked it. Few fishy or discrepant moves in there, and it flowed nicely. The only thing I thought of is that you'd have to have good audience management to stop them grabbing the two black kings after you reveal that the jack is no longer between them for the first time.

In my many years of magic (6) haha

I use the backslip force and the hofzinzer spread force. Both match the criteria, both work 100% of the time. I never use any other forces.

    Woah! How Is This Done?

It's simple. You execute the ****** **** whilst ****ing the **** card, and finish with a ******** replacement. However, correctly performing this trick ** all about the presentation. Hopefully, by mastering your ******, your ********** will be astonished at your ******* abilities. Of ******, if...

What Would Others Say About You?

Magicianofseer has the ability to stick to his views, and yet not resort to petty bashing when others disagree, which is more than can be said of a lot of people.

    Are you a good magician?

Well what would you define as a good magician then? :)

    Are you a good magician?

In my opinion, a good magician is one who can perform seemingly unexplainable magic whilst still making it entertaining to an audience, leaving them with a lifelong memory. Watch Derren Brown or Tommy Wonder. They have to be my two most inspirational magicians, due to filling the above criteria.

"Riddle me this OTTFFSSE" Would I be right in thinking that NTETT would come next in the series of letters?

    Are you a good magician?

The problem is that this should be seen as standard for any magician, rather than something that sets you apart from the crowd. In response to the OP, I'm really not. I'm having real difficulty finding my character and my presentation seems to have gone downhill massively. It's starting to...

    Justification

Hmm, there's a lot of truth in this, actually. I think your last point is why impromptu looking magic with everyday objects is so powerful. Referring back to my cigarette trick analogy, that is exactly what I would do if I could do magic (and I smoked, which I don't). However, if I could really...

Advantages of using magic at school

All I have to say is this: Don'tcha think it's a little stupid cheating and then posting about it on the internet? I mean anyone can read it, I might be your teacher for all you know...

    Justification

I agree with the fact that I don't think T+R tricks need justifying, as such. We do it for the same reason we do any trick, to entertain and perform. Of course there are some that appear to be practical magic, eg. appearing a cigarette and having it levitate itself to your mouth, because if you...

    Bad days...

Yesterday, I found myself stood in a restaurant, preparing to do a gig for a friend of mine. I was tired, I was sore (five hours of dance is NOT something to be sniffed at), I had just had my first day back at school after the holidays and I wanted to be anywhere but in that room right then. I...

    theory11.bulletin - THE 1-ON-1 SESSIONS : Pasteboard Mentalism

I wouldn't really say Commercial is mentalism. I'd probably have put Aaron Fisher's backslip force in here instead. But that's just me. Ah well, I'm not complaining, just commenting.
