ANACONDA DVD REVIEW - Not what you think...

really? i seriously thought most people who had learnt it off the pdfs were that high, minus the middle one, but most people are able to fluke it that high. and that one seems to me like a fluke, it lacks the control and uniformity of one done by bone.

yes, but how powerful would it be if you actually "accidentally" cut yourself, grabbed a tissue to stop the bleeding, then took the tissue off and it hand the prediction card? that would be sick.

    Is Cardistry just "Showing Off"?

most musical instruments actually can stand on their own. you'd be hard pressed to find an instrument, that isn't a percussion instrument, that is completely dependant on other insturments to form music. Of course, many more doors are opened when playing with more instruments, but a single...

You know you're a magician when....

ha, that's awesome, me too. and they never let me deal, even though i don't cheat anymore. much. Yeah, I wish it was a bit more popular, but the other countries can have their other card games. Australians know what's good.

don't know why i thought of this, but i'm a messed up child. Blood. No kidding, i'm going to try it with blood as soon as I get the 'gimmick' after i'm done with my exams. That would be killer. That would make for some badass shock magic.

    Is Cardistry just "Showing Off"?

tapping isn't music. There are two things I'm more passionate about then magic, and one of them is music. tapping cannot, by any proper definition of music, be defined as music. and that is an excellent poin. no, i don't think a deaf person would be able to view a tap sequence and see it as a...

ANACONDA DVD REVIEW - Not what you think...

that's not really an anaconda. heaps of people are able to do that already. it's more getting the ridiculous height, where you have to tilt your camera, or else it won't fit on the screen.

    Is Cardistry just "Showing Off"?

    Is Cardistry just "Showing Off"?

that video was a beautiful piece. But if you took the music away, would it still be impacting? I don't think juggling can stand alone as an artform.

    Is Cardistry just "Showing Off"?

I'm not sure if i can agree with your point about it being important. I think you can have a show equally entertaining for your audience whether or not you have flourishes in it. I personally hold back on flourishing, because it takes from the magic. I want my audience to be as stunned as...

    Must Have Card Gimmicks

Australians are pretty much awesome. Except for the lack of magic stores and playing card dealers in our country.

    Is Cardistry just "Showing Off"?

I think you meant dance was parasitical, because symbiosis means that both sides are relying on each other, and music definitely doesn't rely on dance. And I don't think dancing relies on music either. I've seen some stomp and tap routines that had no music whatsoever. Just clapping and...

    Is Cardistry just "Showing Off"?

it's extremely hard to express yourself through the movement of cards. but if someone does, then i'll consider it an art form.

    (David Stone) Hand Dominance. Wow.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfQHME615hg (The trick that starts around 2:30 in this clip) His hands change dominance. For the dribble, his base hand is his left hand, then for the riffle, his base hand is his right hand. For this pass, his base hand is his right hand, then for the mercury...
