    What do you do?

I love you magically too Medifro. I definitely understand where you're coming from and you have a very good point. I guess I should elaborate and emphasise that, as you said - it's about control, what I was trying to get at - control, and also authority. Absolutely, if the audience want more...

    Trick vs. Technique

When you first start off... It's good to get going with a few effects first because they'll generally give you a good idea of some of the most basic sleights anyway - and besides, it's good to contextualise the sleights you learn with effects. Eventually, as you develop more as a magician it'll...

    Card Manipulation Books/DVD

EDIT: My bad. Guys like T. Nelson Downs, and Arthur Buckley, have written about card manipulation quite well.

    New Ideas?

Each of us are individual - what works for me probably won't work for you, which is why I don't like giving specific effects for advice. The best thing you can do is let us know what sort of thing you're interested in - a particular style, a particular magician, a particular plot, and go from...

An ultimate act of Jerry's Nugget loyalty?

I wouldn't go to any extremes to own Jerry's. I'd like them, sure, but... Meh. If tattoos are your thing, I suppose.

    Gimmick? Gaff? Who can say?

Haha. Totally. Then again I was wondering something similar, sooo... It does have relevance though. I was asked if an effect I did was gimmicked or gaffed - I said it wasn't (there was a dupe involved). As far as I'm concerned that's correct anyway.

    Best DVD for me?

Wow. That's probably some of the most misguided advice I've ever seen. The Clipshift being one of the best moves in magic? Don't make me laugh. A DL is one of the best moves in magic. A palm is one of the best moves in magic. The clipshift? >.> Sorry, I have nothing against Dan and Dave, but...

    Superday - 2009

Holy **** this is early... That'll be fantastic though. Matt, definitely wanna meet you. Bit early to get excited about it, but hey :P It'll be good. Sounds like Yao will be there too, since Chuck Fayne is.

Giveaway - In A Flash by Jay Sankey

Well, no not exactly. Without revealing too much... It's an effect I thought of a few months back while I was on holidays back in Fiji. Funnily enough, inspired by Star Wars (big fan here). Basically, I've got an idea for how it would work, but I won't know if it'll work until Saturday because...

Giveaway - In A Flash by Jay Sankey

Problem is I need to wait for Saturday my time to see if I can actually shoot it/if the idea will work, and then if that gets the go ahead it'll take another few days to organise a friend to shoot it at the necessary place.

    Outjogged Herman Shift

Wow, I've never heard that said of it before. I disagree completely, but would be interested in your reasoning for saying that.

    True Astonishments - Easter Eggs

Instead of pressing enter, left click. Occasionally you'll also need to right click or use the arrow buttons. Any particular one?

    Outjogged Herman Shift

Well, the outjogged hermann is pretty much a variation of the hermann pass. So yes it is a pass. When done well, yes your hands can be watched. But as per any pass, misdirection is recommended.

Giveaway - In A Flash by Jay Sankey

I have an idea for an effect, but it's a little bit situational, and I can't actually shoot it for a few days. Will try my best to get it shot and done, even as a rough draft.

    Baaah

Ahite then, my bad. In any case, just to reiterate and maintain some modicum of helpfulness, the get ready definitely needs work. Anyway, away from the method now.. Sorry again.

Dan and Dave /// New Stuff

Weeell. It's probably worth it, if you're actually gonna put in the effort. But then again, there are lots of ways to increase finger fitness - I know a number of people, myself included, play piano for example.
