    Shakey...

It also helps if your first trick relies on spectators/presentation and minimum sleights rather than visual and tough card magic. You don't want to open with Raise Rise that's all i'll say.

    Card Magic and Restaurants

In my opinion, David Stone's DVDs are much better than the Sankey DVD. I just found a lot of the material to be...not magical and quite tedious. Just my opinion but David Stone's has a variety of real world tricks that get reactions while Sankey uses things found (not always) on the table.

    HMV Live Performance

Again, well done for performing to real people. Unfortunately i have discovered the problem. "PS number 2 - Credit Morgician for patter." The patter was fine, but it's the way you delivered it. It wasn't yours and you didn't connect with the spectator. It felt very rigid and seemed like you...

    S.W.E. Shift?

Interesting question. Why do magicians practice second/bottom/centre deals if they hardly ever use them in professional situations? I believe Roberto Giobbi offered a rather good answer in the back pages of CC2. Unfortunately I cannot remember what he said but it is a reference that i shall look...

    The most amazing trick...

You implied magicians speak to others about bad magicians, what is your evidence to support this? It doesn't really matter, good thread none the less.

    2 magician card routine

Obviously! But they're a double act, Stone and Vanel aren't. Neither are Garcia and Houchin.

    2 magician card routine

I remember David Stone and Stephane Vanel doing an ambitious card routine. Pretty cool but i don't know any other magicians.

Did I make a good choice?

I'm glad the whole thing is sorted, sort of. I'll tell you one thing, i have bought Sankey's material in the past. Single tricks and DVD collections and i've been disappointed with the magic. The quality and the thinking behind the magic. BUT I have watched those DVDs time and time again, why...

    Controls

The double undercut is simply the best. It's about timing and casualness. I usually just switch the selected card for an indifferent and bury that cleanly in the middle. There is also a way of controlling a card to the top using a DMB/Convincing control.

    Fed-Exed by Micheal Paul

Good review and it's a fantastic effect. I can't seem to be able to find the video though, any idea.

Is that the one with the DF? If it is, it's amazing.

    Why not a bottom palm?

My palm is so good, the specs never notice this issue.

Did I make a good choice?

Wholeheartedly agree there. And whoa, Sankey overload! The guy is a fantastic performer and i could watch him all day but you really need to save some cash and really expand your magical knowledge. Sometimes it's important to enrich your technical abilities as well. I would've suggested...
