    Parents

    My parents are quite supportive...they already spent a LOT on magic effects (and related supplies--ie. cards) for both my brother and I for Christmas this year (I helped pick things out, to make sure everything would be stuff that my brother and I would both use). Aside from that, they don't...

    Torrents vs Selling

    To be honest, I can easily see this thread spiraling into something that'll get closed. In the meantime, I'll give my response. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with selling a magic DVD over Ebay. It's no worse than selling any other DVD. I know some people are going to say "but, but...

    Bending Coins

    I just use the superman coin bend...it's cheap enough that the ease of bending that it provides far outweighs any money saved by using other methods (ie. pliers). :)

    How old is Andrei?

    I'm pretty sure he's eleven. I've seen him bullying kids at the playground at my school. ;)

    Glitch - A dozen Centurions or Guardians price?

    Yeah, that's definitely an error. I checked the 6 deck option (with a 15% discount) just to make sure my math was correct, and they're also $4.21 per deck (the same as the 12 deck option), which equals a 15% discount. You should probably submit a ticket.

    New 1-on-1 : B4cut by Andrei Jikh

    Looks nice! I'm not one for cardistry, so I won't be getting it, but it still looks really nice. :)

    2008 Holiday Contest + Promotions :: Unveiled

    Sheesh...not even but a few somewhat negative replies and you're already getting on peoples backs. Letting people have an opinion? Pfft, no dice...sheep. Everyone must be sheep and jump on the "I love theory 11" bandwagon, I say! :rolleyes: But like I said, this year's lot of prizes looks...

    2008 Holiday Contest + Promotions :: Unveiled

    The year supply of cards, or the white centurions, or the uncut sheet would be my three top choices...I'm not sure I'd want the grand prize, as I can't really afford a trip to Vegas. Overall it looks alright, though. :)

    Criss Angel?

    Yes, Angel definitely has an awesome agent to get him all of that...although, that's not saying much about Criss himself. :rolleyes:

    Criss Angel?

    First of all, searching takes a few minutes at worst, as can be seen by the three links provided above. Second, please spell check your posts--your first post was full of grammatical and spelling errors. Third, I dislike Criss Angel's attitude and ego. Just because you have fame and fortune...

    Rubber Cement Question

    Not living in Australia, here's the best I can offer: For the rubber cement, the most common brand in Canada (and I believe in the US) is Elmer's Craft Bond Rubber Cement (Acid Free; temporary or permanent bond; dries clear). They're the same brand that makes most of the popular glue products...

    Hershey "Kissed" Gaff

    Yeah, having morals and respecting the art extends to those who aren't magicians, by the way. But whatever, to each their own. And considering there is no "best trick," and people will always have their opinions, there will always be some trick that's better than some other trick for whatever...

    Restaurant Worker's Handbook?

    I've suggested it in another thread, but i'll suggest it here as well: Justin Miller's Strolling Hands lecture notes. It's an excellent source for information about working at restaurants (and, of course, they include some really nice effects in there as well). :)

    Mentalism Trick

    Yes, but seeing tricks involving that in the past kind of biased me...now I always think of the common things. You'd think I'd try to avoid thinking of them. o_O

    Saturday Night Contest - Everything in Control

    I won't be entering this one as I'm not at home (there's no webcam OR cards here--in fact, it's odd how I don't have a pack on me o_O), sadly. Oh well, it looks like there's going to be a lot of participants...good luck to all who enter! :)

    Hershey "Kissed" Gaff

    I meant replacement gaffs...I have the effect already. But thanks for trying. :) And how does this effect differ from any other? I'm sure that just as much thought went into this one as any other, seeing as the quality is about the same as many of the "quality" effects on the market. It...

    Restaurant Work Help

    Burried within that heap of a (great) post you mentioned something in passing that I would like to bring some focus to...that you often make more doing outside gigs, and that you use the resaurant as a springboard to those outside gigs. That's something that is very important to remember (and is...

    Restaurant Work Help

    I'd like to mention again that when I asked Justin Miller how much I, not he, should be charging, knowing full well it would be my first paid experience in a restaurant, he suggested no less than $100-200 for three hours (plus anything else I could bargain for, like free meals whenever I...

    Hershey "Kissed" Gaff

    By "all the work" I mean all of the thought behind the idea for the trick. Go ahead and ask anyone who actually releases effects...ask them if it takes a lot of work to come up with tricks or of it's a breeze. Like I said before, if Borgia (yes, the original creator, if I recall correctly)...
