    How many people actually perform?

I perform, not for money, but for entertainment for me and them

    Anybody else dislike gimmicks?

I have no problem with gaff cards. Gaffed trick are very refreshing

    Anybody else dislike gimmicks?

This is why I love flourishes, actually takes skill. :) But I think the audience can tell when a gimmick is being used. Everytime I use a gimmick they ask to see the deck, but that has never happened doing card in hand or stigmata. Just thought it deserved a mention

    What's your favourite card?

Ace of clubs. It has sophistication and character. Reminds me of myself :)

    Anybody else dislike gimmicks?

I guess you're right Jakeh, you know, the first deck I got when I started magic, before a normal deck, was a pack of Svengalis. On the wrapper which was attached to the box, it said 'Requires no skill!' From that point on I hated it and every other gimmick. But this isn't therapy, so I guess...

    Anybody else dislike gimmicks?

I can see what you're saying fridoliina, but I still see them as 'false reputation makers' if you will. While most T11 tricks are gimmicked, I got the Trilogy and love it, and are now getting Control. I also love the 1 on 1 section. :)

    Anybody else dislike gimmicks?

I don't know why, but ever sinse I started magic, I have hated gimmicks and never use them. Don't get me wrong, I fully respect magicians who use them and some of them are just ingenious. But I have a friend who uses nothing but gimmicked cards (svengali, Invisible) and I always stick to normal...

    Awesome routine

Thanks guys, but I can't really say my patter here because it changes depending on the audience :)
  9. The Tumbleweed

    Awesome routine

Just a new routine I came up with and it gets BIG reactions. I start off with the card version of stigmata, complain how much my wrist hurts and move into fixing it with disjointed, then I say how much it hurt and I think I broke something and get them to check my pulse (control). Any thoughts...

If you live in Australia, I just found a great magic website that sells really cheap magic related stuff, it's acekicker.com.au. They're having a 40% off sale right now too. And.. no... they're not paying me :)

Trick names getting out of hand?

Is it just me, or are names of tricks getting way too bold and in some cases, gory? I mean, Kaos, Stigmata? At least Theory11 keeps it subtle. Next we'll have Vengeance, and Painful. Anyone with me?

    Left Handers

Jonathan Bayme is left handed, so am I. I think that just staying left handed is the best way, i've never had problems transposing tutorials, although some moves do need to be done right handed, and so do some tricks(I have problems doing 'Queens' from the trilogy
