I am experiencing the same problem even with Qualatex balloons. After I set the balloon up and go to pump it....it pops every time. Someone PM me as well if you have pointers. Perhaps I need to adjust the set up. Thanks.

You could do Harry Anderson's gang of 4 to really get a lot of people at each table involved. It is very easy (force 4 cards) and use one gimmicked card as a sweet reveal.

I just recently purchased the Corporate Close Up 2 Disc 1 and Disc 2 Set. They are fabulous in regards to teaching the ins and outs of paid gigs such as what you will be doing. You may want to look into those as well. They teach you about when to arrive, the do's and don'ts of paid gigs...

You probably already know this but I would do about 3-5 tricks and if they are all card effects...please do not make all of them "pick a card" type effects. Make one of them a pick a card with a sweet reveal. Then maybe a 4 ace production. Maybe invisible deck. and Finish them with an ACR...

Here is a thought. Take it for what its worth. Pick one of your effects that people are "calling you out on" or an effect that you think is strong but you aren't getting the reactions. Only perform that trick for an entire week to MANY different audiences. Old people, young people, kids...

I have done many kids parties and sciffydof is exactly dead on. Read all of his points carefully. I agree. I will also add that kids like things to change color, appear, vanish, etc. I only use one card trick in my entire 30 min. kids show. Everything else is sponge balls, ropes, silks...

For me if it is a private party at a house for 15-20 people (adults) I charge $100 for an hour. If it is a private party at a bigger location for 50-100 I charge $200 for an hour. Small birthday party for 10-15 kids for a half hour of balloons animals and half hour of magic is $100...
